Dr. Calhoun Dove Cunningham, MD

Dr Cunningham is an honest, caring, very experienced and intelligent doctor. He really takes his time with you and explains in great detail making sure you understand everything he says. He answers all questions and I trust him completely. Another doctor told me my ears were full of wax, went to Dr. Cunningham a few days later and he said there was no wax and he was right!! I wouldn't trust any other Dr. with my ears nose or throat because I know he will tell me the truth!! I believe he cares much more about his patients than he does money. Unlike ALOT of doctors out there! Thank You Dr. Cunningham for using your great gift from God to help sick people!!!!

I liked the dr but all he told me was I have catrrah but not how to do something about it. I have said since day one I think I have the old time consumption. I have an septoplasty found a broken nose deviatedseptum bad and turbinates scraped did nothing to help the excess mucus I cant eat regular food and they seem to think that formula is ok and my holistic dr said it is sugar water with casein that is not gppd my condition. no follow up plan and no paper saying what I had. been to the other two and they both said 2 yrs ago go home and swallow the mucus and eat I couldn't but no other help . I have suffered 3 yrs with an unkown disease nose deviated septum and turbinate surgery done by dr mcquirt in Winston salem. then an ablation of the nerve on life side of my face which is numb and some of the pain went away. I got no report saying what he said and just told me to go try botox at duke. really no explaination of how to deal with this food peg and be sick everyday. I… need an ent as a regular dr and all three in the office said something different. so it was a wasted appointment for me I was put on a food peg at duke and just thrown out the hospital not even knowing how to operate it , gave all these drying meds and I almost died with all the drying pills. after 3 yrs with ents gi and neuro. no one has helped me with the excess mucus so I can eat and get off the food peg. no follow up put on my chart

I can't believe the other review on here! I went to see Dr. Cunningham because my son had broken my nose a few years ago and could barely breathe out of it. I initially went to see another doctor who referred me to him due to the complexity of my case. He and his staff have always been very kind to me. He performed a septoplasty and turbinoplasty and I can now breathe fantastic. He genuinely cares about his patients and even called me later on that day after my surgery to check on me. I have had surgery 8 times before this due to a joint condition and I have never had a doctor call me personally. I also have tinnitus (ringing in my ear) that he evaluated. He addressed all issues in one visit, instead of making me come back for a separate appointment. The only thing I give 3 stars is one of the medical assistants was arguing with the front office staff and I didn't think it was appropriate of her at all to do in front of patients. Aside from that, my experience has been great.

i did not care for this doctor at all.he came across uninterested in hearing my input on my ear problem.the office staff as very rude and uncooperative.seeing this doctor was a waste of my time and money.i do not recommend this jerk and should retire.
