Dr. Cally Gwon, MD, IBCLC

My kids have been patients of Dr Gwon's five years! She loves my kids and takes excellent care of them. She took excellent care of my son when he developed RSV when he was 6 weeks old. She helped him get the emergency care that he needed. She came by first thing in the morning to the hospital before she started her work day to make sure that he was doing okay with his hospitalization. She is patient and answers all of my questions and I know that my kids are in excellent care in her hands!

Maybe we just had different communication styles but I left most appointments more confused than informed. I felt like we were constantly talking past each other. It ended in advice that could have inadvertently ended my ability to breastfeed my baby if I had followed it, as well as missing a critical issue that thankfully I had discovered through talking to other parents. Cally’s presence can be calming and I liked that, but ultimately it wasn’t the kind of care I was seeking for my baby.

We are very fortunate to have a pretty healthy daughter, but when we needed to make an emergency visit to Dr. Gwon because of an injury, the office was so accomodating. Dr. Gwon was so gentle with her and calmed my fears that the injury was not as severe as it could have been. She showed our daughter everything she was going to do, which made her feel much more relaxed and engaged in what was going on. By the end of the visit, there were smiles all around!
