Dr. Calvin Lane Cargill, MD

How do you turn the one star off?!?!?!? I was diagnosed by Dr. Cargill with Lyme Disease, an incurable autoimmune disease. I took my lab tests home and reviewed them. My husband and I discovered that both Lyme indicators were NEGATIVE. I called Dr. Cargill and told him that I needed him to explain to me how I was positive for Lyme Disease, as I was put on really powerful medicine that was kicking my butt! No call. Not from him. Not from a nurse. I convinced myself that my doctor knew what he was talking about because other things were abnormal on my lab report. I took my medication.I researched Lyme. I changed my diet, sleeping schedule, EVERYTHING! At the end of my medication I needed to see the doctor to request an extended prescription, as Lyme patients should take this medicine for 3 months, not 10 days. When I go in to see him he tells me that I don't have Lyme and I never did! When I called him TEN DAYS AGO he discovered his mistake. I am okay that he made a… mistake! He is human and I so am I! However, I cannot believe that he left me for TEN DAYS to think I had an incurable disease and he also left me on that medicine! I cannot tell you the tears I have cried, the depression I have felt, the anger I have felt that I would have to deal with this for the rest of my life! He left me to feel this way, knowing I was otherwise healthy! Unconscionable! In his office, he never even apologized! He just patted my shoulder. Find another doctor! (How DO you turn off the one star?)

My wife and I have had Calvin Cargill as our family doctor for the past five years. He became our son's doctor three years ago and guided him back to good health from a life threatening condition. We just learned Dr. Cargill is leaving MTF group and it is very disturbing to us. We have the deepest regard for this man's ability and opinions as a physician. I have not had a family doctor in the past that I hold in such high regard. It is a sad day for our community to lose such a fine doctor. Our best wishes to him and to those who will obtain his services, we envy you.
