Dr. Calvin H Knapp, MD

Dr. Knapp has treated me for sinus infection and eventually did a surgery. He has always taken his time to explain what ever he was going to do and has been great at follow ups.

After years of suffering, I started seeing Dr Knapp for sinus issues and recently had surgery. He and his team are the best in my opinion. I researched doctors in the Seattle area before I decided to go with him, and I definitely made the right decision. Dr Knapp and his staff are professional, friendly, and informative. They are also caring, and responsive, which was important for me because I discovered I'm allergic to penicillin, sulfa, and some pain killers, which made my care more challenging, but Dr Knapp and his group were on top of it, returning my calls quickly, and checking back to follow-up.

I needed major sinus surgery for a sinus infection I had for two years and diviated septum, but kept putting it off because I watched the pain my wife went through several years ago when she had sinus surgery. Everyone I talked to told me it was one of the most painful surgeries they ever had. Then, one night I started hemmorhaging out of my nose, and spent the night in two different emergency rooms as they tried to get it to stop. That convinced me to go ahead and get the operation. Enter Dr. Knapp. He was completely thorough in assessing my problem and always concerned that I was comfortable. He set me up on pain medications before the scheduled operation so I would have them available to me after the operation for any pain or discomfort. He told me it took a little more time in the operating room, but he preferred to use dissolvable nose packing instead of cotton and dissolvable stitches. After the operation, I took pain meds for two days to stay ahead of the expected pain… that was totally absent. In short, Dr. Knapp, in my estimation, is more than a great ENT. He is an artist and one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure to meet. It was as though I never had an operation at all. At our first post-op meeting 10 days after my operation, I asked him if he didn't have to do much. He said he found things to be a mess when he got into my sinuses and, in addition to everything else, he had to patch a hole that was not supposed to be there that was causing me problems. It has been about a month now and I have healed without incident. I have experienced a new found energy since my body is no longer fighting an ongoing infection. Dr. Knapp is a miracle worker as far as I am concerned. I recommend him to everyone I know, and would never consider another ENT even though I have to drive almost 50 miles to his office. Now my wife, who needs additional sinus surgery but was putting it off because of the pain she suffered after her last operation, is saying she wants to get it done with Dr Knapp after seeing my results. Four stars for him is not enough.

Dr Knapp is a very caring patient Dr. When my wife attended an appointment with me, she appreciated his caring approach enough to change insurance carriers so she could have access to Dr Knapp and the providers that worked with him.
