Dr. Camelia Loredana Salanta, MD

Very poor bedside manner. Diagnosis incorrect.

I absolutely love this doctor. Dr. Salanta is a very caring and compassionate doctor. She listens to you. She takes her time with you and doesn't rush through your appointment. She explains things so you will understand. You leave her office feeling like she really cares. I just changed jobs and have another insurance; I am going to be very upset if she can't be my PCP anymore!!!

I met Dr. Salanta today for the first time. I felt judged when she went over my family history. She asked me several questions more than once. "Oh, your father had a heart attack and he wasn't a smoker?" No. He wasn't a smoker. She asked me if I got mammograms regularly because my sister died from breast cancer. No. No doctor has ever recommended a mammogram to me. I've asked, and they don't recommend them. I'm 36 with no issues. "Well, your sister thought she didn't need one and now she's dead." Who talks to people like this? Of course she thought they were unnecessary. She was 29. I'll never go back to her again.

Booo to the board of directors of Beaumont Hospital or whoever made the decision to close Metro Family Center in Southfield, MI. I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF HAVING TWO OF THE BEST DOCTORS. EVER!!! And that is hard to find these days and now someone made the decision to close this office permanently making it difficult to find another great doctor and Primary Care Doctor. Shame on whoever made this terrible and horrific decision!!!!!!
