Rude and uncaring. Makes me never want to go to a doctor again. Did not Do a thing for me except upset me

I cannot believe she is a physician. Walked out of the office in disbelief. Extremely horrible experience. Did not Help at all

My first appt. with her was 6 months ago for cardiac concerns I had (scary stuff, right?). To her credit at that time, the cardiologist that she referred me to was very knowledgeable, shared information with me well, and told me that her scope of practice was unable to determine my cardiac issue, so she referred me to another specialist. But then I had another episode that I landed me in the ER. In preparation for my follow up with Delgatty, I did some research (I'm in nursing school, so I have a pretty decent understanding of labs values, tests, cardiac function) and found 4 possible causes to my episode. I also informed the receptionist of these concerns that I wanted to discuss during my appointment, so that we could be best prepared to discuss these issues. When I got to the appointment, she was very dismissive of my concerns and then didn't have anything further to add that I couldn't find out from the appoint that I have scheduled from the Cardiologist next week. I… understand that a PCP's job is to do initial evaluation and then refer you to a specialist if need be but geeez lady! If I have educated information and genuine concerns about discussing something as important as my HEART don't dismiss me by saying things like "if you think you know better than I do, then you can go ahead and have that talk with the specialist". This isn't a war of the egos, or about who is smarter. Its about caring for the patient and providing patient centered care. As a future nurse, I'll chalk this up to "how to never treat a pt". I live with the symptoms and I have to deal with the consequences of my arrhythmias. All I as is that you act like a human, check your ego at the door and realize that a patients concerns are valid and should be a part of finding the solution -- even if you don't have the answers.

I haven't come to expect too much from any doctor's office but this one was the worst by far. At first my doctor seemed okay and I felt she actually cared. Over my couple years as a patient there were several complications with my prescriptions. Either my doctor would write prescriptions and they wouldn't get sent in or they would deny refill requests even though I was not due for any follow up. In my most recent experience my prescription refill was mistakenly denied by the office. This caused me to go off heart medication for the two weeks it took for them to return my many calls and fix their mistake. You'd think a heart condition might be somewhat of a priority. I finally got a call back from my doctor who explained to me what an inconvenience it was for her to call me back. She explained that she fixed the issue but was unwilling to take any feedback about the poor service I have received or claim responsibility. The office staff is rude and incompetent as well but I… tried to overlook that. The lack of compassion and professionalism from my doctor was completely unacceptable. As much of a pain it'll be I really have no choice but to find a better establishment. Do not go here.

She was very nice and very helpful. She is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Candida Delgatty is an exception in her field and a pleasure to be treated by. The new generation of Doctors have been less than impressive but this doctor has the right combination of professionalism and bedside manor that sets you at ease and gives you confidence in her diagnosis and remedy.

She was nice, asked questions and seemed thorough.
