Dr. Cara Robinson King, MD

Can I leave zero stars? To be clear, pain is subjective. I told Dr. King how bad my pain is, which lasts the entirety of my period, every period. She told me it was breakthrough pain when I described it. Do her ears work? Really? It’s called listening 101. Or is she so arrogant that she believes she knows my subjective pain better than me? That sounds like narcissism to me. What I find concerning is multiple reviews online highlight her dismissal of pain and dismissal of patient concerns. I don’t quite understand how a physician that is working with one of the most painful disorders in women’s health doesn’t understand that it is painful. Wild! Ultimately I went with a different physician outside of Cleveland Clinic. I wasn’t able to tolerate feeling disrespected. I’m really glad I went in a different direction, as I know how a team that listens to my concerns, offered more suitable options for my body, and addressed me with the respect I deserve. Cleveland Clinic just dropped rank in… hospitals due to patient outcomes, and therefore I’m not surprised that they’re having difficulty employing reputable and respectful physicians.
