Dr. Caren Michelle Stalburg, MD

TERRIBLE! Called the office asking to see a reproductive endocrinologist but the woman on the phone insisted I needed to see an OB/GYN for my issue. Everyone was booked for three months except Stalburg who had an appointment the next morning. Now I know why, because no one else wants her. She wouldn’t let me fully explain my situation and kept interrupting me with things like “sorry this is happening to you but I have other patients waiting and I need to go”, “well what do you want me to do then?”, ”that’s not possible” (when explaining my side affects of birth control), among others. I was desperate to repair the damage birth control had done to my body, she knew I’d tried five different types and all had devastating affects on my physical and mental health. She insisted that birth control is the only treatment for PCOS and i needed to go on a different one, this one would be better than the rest. I had hope and listened to her. I took her prescription and never felt worse. I am so… frustrated. She will not listen to you, she will dismiss you. I ignored the bad reviews online. I wanted to give her a shot. Don’t be like me. Stay far FAR away from this terrible doctor.

If you’re looking for a doctor who cares about people, follows the science, and who is willing to question her previous conclusions when presented with new information - you should look elsewhere. Dr. Stalburg is stubborn, closed-minded, rude, and irretrievably tethered to old ideas that have long-since been discredited. Stay away!

I had to see Stalburg due to my regular obgyn being on mat leave and it was the worst medical experience I've ever had. Thankfully my spouse was there as a witness and agreed she should never be allowed to see patients. She asked me questions about my pregnancy and then laughed at my answers. She belittled my concerns and told me I "wasn't special and needed to get over any concerns". Additionally, she insisted on doing a heartbeat exam which was fine except when I moved my shirt to let her put on the gel, she said "don't do that yet, even if we aren't modest, we should at least pretend and feign modesty in the presence of doctors". These are only two of several examples. She is absolutely horrible, I couldn't recommend her less.

Excellent care. Dr. Stalburg is a rare doctor who cares and listens. Knowledgeable and takes time with patient.

I though she was okay through my last pregnancy. She did not deliver my son or follow up. I am now going through a miscarriage and just wanted to be seen to confirm it as I am still getting positive tests but she said it was not necessary and declined a blood test when I asked for one to check hcg levels since she wouldnt see me. I feel i am just another statistic and not worth the time to even check in with. Not what I want in a doctor especially for women's health issues.

I found Dr. Stalburg to be very knowledgeable. She was patient and answer all my questions, I asked a lot because I am going to school for nursing and had a lot of interest in what we were doing. Was very comfortable and to the point. We ended up doing a procedure I wasn't scheduled for, and she did not hesitate to do it then and there instead of making me schedule another appointment. Highly recommended!

Dismissive, condescending, with a complete lack of empathy due to her lack of first hand experience. If I wasn't so close to my due date I would be seeking another doctor, best part is she won't be delivering my child so I won't have to see her then and I will get my aftercare from another provider.

I couldn't stop smiling during my appointment with Dr. Starburst. SHE IS THE BEST

She was very flat, offered no emotional support as I was bawling in front of her. Showed no empathy. I'm glad she is not my doctor!

Dr. Stalburg was condescending in the appointment. She made me feel poorly for trying to express what I thought my body was telling me. The staff was very kind but Dr. Stalburg's bedside manner counteracts and professionalism exhibited by her staff.
