Love and belonging are two key basic human needs and yet they can be scarcely experienced, especially in the medical field. Dr. Christie and his team are amazing and have truly blessed my life. My health was failing, and I was in desperate need of surgery. Dr. Christie took on my complicated surgery/health status. The team worked to prepare me for surgery and scheduled it sooner (not once but twice). A prayer answered! I was relieved and thankful to God! Interacting with Dr. Christie is a special experience as he listens with the intent to understand using not only his ears and eyes but his education, experience, intuition, and caring heart. He is peaceful, brilliant, confident yet humble, talented and encouraging, even in the most stressful situations. He and his team exemplify such high levels of care and service on a consistent basis. There is truly a culture of excellence with Dr. Christie and his team. It is refreshing. I feel valued, supported, seen and understood. This has been… a defining moment in my faith as so many times God interceded, and my prayers were answered. I was truly treated like the child of God that I am. This seems to be their common standard. My surgery went incredibly well, and my recovery is going well. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Christie and his all-star team.

Se Christie is the best he made me feel safe and comfortable he did my sugrey he knew I was really scared and my anxiety was through the roof he took really good care of me he prayed with me and my mom before he did my sugrey I dont even remember falling asleep he came and checked on me after sugrey held my hand.....hes very blunt very upfront he is very understanding and make you feel comfortable he came to check on me in the hospital said my sugrey went well my scar isnt big how I thought he took his time and did a great job......I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE! THANKS DR CHRISTIE YOU'RE THE BEST

the best doctor, best surgeon, nicest and most caring medical professional i have ever had in my 71 years. he cared more for me than i did! he is a real gem!

Dr. Christie just performed surgery on me less than a week ago. I have to say that I am very impressed by him as both a person and a doctor. My husband was as well. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to explain what needs to happen in terms you can understand. He provides you with treatment options and answers any questions you might have to make your decision. He lead my husband and me in prayer before the operation and talked with me to help me calm. In the operating room he did the “countdown” with me and stayed with me until I drifted off. I’ve never had a surgeon interact with me on the level that Dr. Christie did. I would recommend him anyone who was in need of a surgical gynecologist or gynecologist oncologist.

I am an RN and was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in Sept. 2015. Dr. Christie stayed late one night to see me and review my tests. He was very kind and compassionate throughout my surgery and chemo treatments. He was great with my family and listened to me when I had concerns. I was so sad when he left Des Moines as I feel his expertise saved my life. He followed through with testing and referred me to another capable gynecologist oncologist before he left. He is an excellent provider and outstanding , caring person.

As a stage 3 uterine cancer patient of Dr. Christie, I'm heartbroken that he has decided to leave his practice. I'm not sure what I'm going to do as there is only 1 other doctor with these credentials in town and my health insurance options are limited.

Husband and son both commented how they appreciated how Dr Christie used terms that they understood, rather than confusing them with medical jargon.
