Dr. Lisa A Crawford, MD

Crawford never made me feel heard or made me feel comfortable asking questions. She always seemed like in a hurry and didn’t have time for me. She was very condescending. Do not recommend

As a teen, I was super nervous going to Dr. Crawford and to the gynecologist for the first time. Every time I went I had a bad experience with her. I always walked out feeling like she was rude and inconsiderate of me and made me feel very overwhelmed. I never felt like she actually listened to me and so it made it hard for me to voice my questions and concerns. She was always so blunt and emotionless when talking to me and never made me feel truly comfortable. Especially if you are a teen or first timer, gynecologist can be super scary and unfamiliar because of that I decided to look for a different gynecologist. The staff is so nice so it’s a shame but I recommend if you are a teen or looking for a gynecologist for your teen to look else where.

I was extremely lucky to have found Dr. Crawford as the first and only OB/GYN I’ve ever seen, and after the experiences I’ve had with her over the years, I wouldn’t want to see anyone else. It seems like the other reviewers claiming she’s rude and has a terrible bedside manner are mistaking her directness for rudeness, because in all the times I’ve seen her, I have never witnessed anything of the sort. She has treated me with nothing but patience, kindness, compassion, and understanding without fail. I have some PTSD around certain issues that make going for exams mentally and emotionally difficult, but Dr. Crawford has been absolutely wonderful. Not only has she corresponded with my therapist when necessary, but she has demonstrated true empathy through her unquestioning willingness to adapt certain aspects of the office experience and exam process at my request to make me feel more comfortable and less vulnerable. In doing so, she has made me feel heard and validated in a way… that I’ve never experienced from any doctor ever before. She has never made me feel rushed during appointments, or made me feel stupid for feeling a certain way or asking a question that I might worry is silly. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Crawford to anyone looking for a truly caring, empathetic, and understanding OB/GYN.

If you enjoy being belittled and demeaned then she’s the doctor for you! I’ve never been talked to so horribly and made to feel less than by a doctor in my life. In the beginning she seemed nice and genuine like she cared but after a while the way she talked and treated me definitely made me feel otherwise.

I have been going to Dr. Crawford for several years. I am 66 years old and she has helped me through menopause and several other issues through the years. She recently performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy on me, I was a little nervous, but she personally called me before and after the surgery to reassure me. The surgery went great and I have had no problems. One of the things I respect and like about Dr. Crawford is the truthfulness and being upfront about everything, but in a very caring way. I would and have recommended her to my family and friends. I cannot believe some of the reviews she had been given, I have not seen any of these things since I have been going to her.

Worst bedside manner ever. Belittling and demeaning.

Can't imagine why the rating on this doctor is as low as stated, my experience in her office last month couldn't have been better. I thought she was terrific! Mostly, it was the feeling of being truly listened to, then given plenty of ideas on how to deal with the symptoms of menopause. I appreciated her attentiveness and information so much, I went online to see if I could offer positive feedback for others to read. I don't write negative reviews online, but I do rave when someone deserves high praise, like Dr. Crawford.

Dr. Crawford has cared for me and several family memeber through pregnancies and surgeries with great skill both emotionally and technically. I have always felt that I am in the best hands with Dr. Crawford and recommend her to friends and family all the time. I trust her without reservation.

I have had two surgeries by Dr. Crawford and both have went very well as have followup appointments. I have been a patient for over 10 years and am very happy.
