Dr. Carl Fenn Lagerstrom, MD

My husband and I were impressed with Dr. Lagerstrom from the first interaction. His office was incredibly responsive; he spent a good deal of time answering our questions and concerns, both on the phone and in an in-person consult, on the day of surgery (before and after) and every day our daughter was in the hospital post-op. He is clearly highly respected and loved at Presbyterian as incredibly skilled and uniquely approachable. When we learned our daughter needed open heart surgery, we assumed we would need to go out of state for the best care. However, we knew immediately that Dr. Lagerstrom was the best, and are so happy we stayed in ABQ for her surgery.

One of the most skilled surgeons available any where. Did my baby's PDA ligation without losing a drop of blood. After studying the procedure to the last detail this doctor addressed every single question and concern like no other. This is the surgeon you want.

i have NEVER met a dr that was willing to risk his career and state it , my daughter required surgery and he fully gave me permission to sue him if ANYTHING went wrong ,WHAT A SURPRISE,i was still scared, BUT i fully had to trust him ,im glad i did, my daughter made a full recovery and is thriving!!!

I recently found had surgery to remove a tumor from my heart. Dr. Lagerstrom was my surgeon and he was wonderful. It was discovered that I had a Calcified Amorphic Tumor on the valve and I am only the 12th documented person to ever be diagnosed with this. Dr. Lagerstrom did a terrific job taking care of me.
