Dr. Carl Lauryssen, MD

I too had good results from Dr L operating on my lower back. But there is one persistent painful matter he does not want to address. When trying to get follow-up imaging orders filed and to make contact with his staff they lied to me repeatedly. Then after continued persistent effort it finally got done. At the next visit, Dr L he blamed his staff for the problem after I told him I felt like he did not want anything to do with me any more. At this visit I had to plead with him to address the unaddressed persistent problem. He said he would order new imaging for this. It has been over a month and the orders have yet to be sent to my insurance. Repeated inquiries have been ignored as before. There is no way he can have a continuing practice with such a staff. Dr Lauryssen did an excellent job on my surgery. He exceeded what I expected . Very professional . My first visit with him I was very sick from my injury. He took me in and didn’t waste any precious time getting me in for surgery . I lost thirty lbs before my cervical spine surgery. I’m a new improved version of myself . I feel God led me to him . His credentials speak for themselves . A very accomplished professional Dr..His staff are very professional also . I worked in Ems and with a Doctor for 11 years . I was very impressed. I have been around a lot of Doctors and trauma and large hospitals . The compassion I saw with this Dr. I automatically knew I was in good hands. Many thanks for getting my life back!

After Dr. Lauryssen did the surgery on my daughter back I would recommend him to anybody who would is needing spinal work done he is awesome did an awesome job my daughter is fully cured and he had to do a very radical surgery on her He removed one of her vertebrae‘s that was in bad shape and pressing on her spinal cord causing her to become paralyzed she has made a 100% recovery with no issues this man is awesome and I hope he can help out the people for years to come and also everybody at the Saint David’s hospital in Austin Texas is super awesome also thanks for all y’all‘s help

Dr. Lauryssen fused my L4-5 in 2012 and gave me back a life worth living. Perfect recovery (I followed instructions exactly) and total absence of pain! The most wonderful surgeon. So grateful!

In Los Angeles, in 2011 and again in 2012, Dr. Lauryssen performed surgery on my spine, including fusion. I can't speak highly enough about how his skill and judgment gave me back a life worth living. Those of you in pain or despair will understand how huge this is. God bless him.

I was so fortunate to have Dr. Carl Lauryssen M.D. perform my Spinal Laminectomy surgery at Lakeway. He is six stars all the way.

I was severely incapacitated by sciatica pain, could not walk or sit. Dr. Lauryssen worked me in and my MRI showed L3-L4 herniation. Having previously been through PT, chiro, acupuncture and all other options, I knew it was time for surgery. He did not once pressure me and mentioned I could seek a second opinion. His credentials were enough for me to know he was the doctor I wanted to do my surgery. Within 2 days, I had the surgery and was pain free. State of the art hospital, incredible service and Dr. Lauryssen is not only a phenomenal surgeon, but he is gentle, compassionate and has zero ego. I will thank this man forever for saving me from debilitating pain.

Initial visit only. Doctor was very knowledgeable ( comparing him to other doctors in his field), professional, and easy to discuss my issues with. I truly believe he does care about the patient. Fortunate to have him in my corner.

I had Dr Carl Larryssen as my Dr. In Missouri before he went to California. He was very polite and took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend him at 100% . I had a C5-C6 disc fusion done and had immediate relief after surgery.
