Dr. Carl Payton Middleton, MD

Dr. Middleton is an amazing doctor with great bedside manner. He sits down and actually listens to you without feeling rushed. He cares for his patients and is very knowledgeable. My mom and my husband see him and I would recommend Dr. Middleton to anyone looking for a PCP!

Dr. Middleton is great at explaining things to you. He is also great at calming the patient even when the news is terrifying. He is a great doctor.

Very poor bedside manner; arrogant; condescending; poor listener. Doesn’t want to be bothered at night “when I’m sleeping”....as overheard to a nurse!

I'm several years with Dr. Middleton and he's a very good doctor, listens well, works with you. Good referrals. Good medical support staff. But use of his in-practice affiliated lab services leads to disaster. I've now had issues two years running. After having issues in 2017 with a lab service that ended up being out-of-network, I was told the problem was fixed with a change to his affiliated lab. But my Jan 2018 check up was ten times worse. In the subsequent 7 months, I received over 75 separate claims to my insurance each with patient due amounts ranging from $700 to $1700. These were not revisions to the same claim. These were each separate claims for the same date of service totaling well over $50,000 payable by the patient. Sometimes the lab company made 5 different claims on the same day. In addition billing for the patient visit itself to my insurance did not match the billing statements I received in the mail. I attempted to pay the patient portion through my… insurance / HSA site, but it was kicked back as unable to deliver to the practice. (I had paid this way the previous year.) I finally paid the second revision of paper billing from the doctor which was kind of close to what my insurance said I still owed, but never managed to get anything sensible on the lab work. Hate to have to go find another doctor, but I can't go through another year of this kind of mess for a simple check up and lab work.

I love my PCP. He takes time to listen and follows up with everything. He's kind and easy to understand. he cares about me the patient and i'm not just another number to him. i would recommend him to everyone i know.

My mother is a patient of his. He comes in and explains everything to us so that we can understand it! We always come in with questions and he takes his time answering them! Thank You Dr. Middleton!

Dr. Middleton is amazing! He is very straight forward about what we needed to do about our health. He is easy to get a hold of and very well spoken and knowledgeable! So happy to call him my doctor!

Dr. Livingstone is a great doctor. He spends time with you and explains everything. Easy to talk to. His staff is friendly and eager to help. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a caring doctor. He's truly a hidden jewel in Fort Worth and I trust him with my life.

Dr. Middleton was not willing to honor an Amazon Local voucher that I purchased and he received money for. The office staff was rude and hung up on me. I would have purchased more than the voucher but he wouldn't honor what he had already received from my purchase of the voucher from Amazon.
