Dr. Carla Strickert Branch, MD

Tried for 3 days to get appointment as new patient. Finally gave up. Never had such terrible experience from physician or their staff!!

IS the best

Dr. Branch is up on all the current knowledge she needs to do her job. I will very much miss the expertise she offers when I move out of Statesboro next month. Thank you Dr. Branch for your service to your patients.

My first experience with Carla happened after I accidentally slammed my thumb. She pulled hard. I expressed pain. She laughed. My last experience was a kidney stone event. I tried to flush it, drank too much water, causing water intoxication. She misread symptoms (even after I told her I'd been drinking lots of water). Had someone call my wife to report symptoms of slurred speech, etc. As I overheard this, I said to make sure to tell her not to worry. I was clear in making that remark so the mistake was all hers.

I. There is a GIANT problem with incompetence there: 1.) The staff's weak and 2) so is Carla (the only female MD there). And yes, she is just an employee. II. She can't even diagnose a kidney stone?! III. She believes she has the right to give women their mammogram results?! IV. Thanks! That's all I need to know.

Dr. Branch is ok, the staff onelady in the office is plain rude. Which makes the whole visit a nightmare. She no personality at all.

I do not recommend this woman. Her lack of compassion alone is reason enough to avoid her. Her staff is so incompetent that my latest bloodwork was damaged and I had to go in a second time for the same blood work.I have been a patient of hers for sixteen years. This is a review well worth considering before you have a negative experience, too.She is argumentative and tries to get between her patient and their test results if done elsewhere.My radiologist gave me mammogram results and she told her staff that I had no right to know these results directly from the radiologist.He sent her a letter correcting her on that point and I'm sure it was received with no grace from her end. She is without any charm or grace.I was considering switching to another doctor in that facility, perhaps my husband's doctor there and so I went ahead with my blood work; now that the staff has added yet another blunder to previous bad customer service, I have the names of two new options outside their… facility.Even though my bloodwork is fine, she is now refusing to renew prescriptions without an additional office visit. We were told upon getting my results that they would be renewed. All we had to do was call them into the pharmacy.She can hold her breath on that appointment.I don't like her attitude and I don't like her lack of accountability---telling patients one thing and doing another.I hear her practice is going downhill.Hope this helps others.

Disappointing overall. Argues with her patients over minute matters. She should show concern for their health rather than her "rights" in matters not even involving her office directly. Petty.Her office cannot even make a simple appointment correctly. We filled out a sleep apnea form preliminary to prostate exam and pap smear. Her office did not have us down for either. She blamed us for their ignorance.Plan to change doctors. Shows no compassion.

We took our daughter to this Dr. the office staff refused to see her because her medical records had been transfered. We told the staff that this was a mistake and we would recitify it. They still refused to see her. We had to go to an Immediate care center! If the staff make this poor of judgement with simple situations I no longer trust them to make competent decisions regarding my family's care.
