Dr. Carla Renaldo, DO

This drs treatment of me caused me to cry in the office and have a breakdown when I got home bc her behavior was shockingly rude. RUN from her. Another review on here called her bi polar & that’s exactly what I experienced. She was the absolute Worst dr experience I’ve ever had. She was 20 min late then spent 3-4 with me if that! During that short visit time, she was uninterested, abrupt, cutting me off as if to shut me up & end the convo to leave after any open pause, she asked no questions and the next thing I know she’s washing her hands with her back to me and ACTUALLY leaves without LOOKING at me or saying goodbye or mentioning next plans, or future visits…She was visibly mad at me for some reason. What did I do?’ I was still reeling and confused even hrs later, trying to piece together our interaction piece by piece to decipher what I said to make her hate me? I wonder if she took a second to consider how her behavior affected me? Or am I just another annoying, self… diagnosing pleb that makes her job so much more difficult? Was she mad that I was hesitant to get a ct scan and wanted to START with ultrasound? (Needless Radiation exposure, but mostly potential reaction to the dye?) She knows my past history of medical negligence and life damaging, altering reactions to medications. Or Did she think I was ignorantly diagnosing myself bc I’m in Cronic pain and I do hrs of research so I come in with notes and thoughts about what this could be? I know your thinking, “you must be super annoying or weird or just did something to warrant this,” or that I’m probably crazy and a Karen that has issues with everyone but I’m telling you I’m completely lucid, logical, sane. I was happy, excited and enthusiastic to see her at first and completely broadsided from the change in her entire demeanor by the second visit. Some kind of Jeckal and hide thing going on with her I hope she figures out why she treats people like this bc it’s actually damaging to peoples mental health. There’s such a better more tactful, compassionate and professional way of informing me I’m wrong or not right in my research (which I’m open to I CAME here for her thoughts) other than condescending, abruptness, and basically booking out of the office like I’m a disease. Dr. Renaldo, Please understand that your patients may have a lifetime of constant medical gaslighting and misdiagnosis, actual physical damage from medications, or blindly taking dr recommendations (without self research) and then getting hurt and so me deciding to not take a ct asking to please just START with an ultrasound has nothing about any distrust of your professional opinion (why would I be there) but me advocating for myself and my ptsd/fear regarding my potential SERIOUS life altering reactions to things. I went to another office & Dr and after I told her my symptoms, she thoroughly felt me and actually located the lump you couldn’t find, & she immediately scheduled the simple ultrasound you denied me. (Without me even prompting or asking her for it!) Interesting!! She was very confused that you didn’t just start with an ultrasound. Not to mention my insurance didn’t cover the expensive ct scan you pushed for anyways. So, was all this even necessary? Note: the office manager and director I talked to was very respectful, compassionate and was not at all ok with the treatment I got. Props to her with her human relationship and communication skills. I felt heard. Long story short: Go somewhere else if you’re looking for compassionate care.

Found her to be condescending and disrespectful. One visit was all it took. I have to be comfortable with my doc and was anything but with her.

Carla Renaldo is in Arden NC now with Advent Health and is the worse most rude doctor I have ever seen at 65 years old! She does not belong or deserve to live or work here in our peaceful town!

went in for my appointment today to find out that she was no longer there. hmmmm. the company changed management and then my doctor is no longer there. they scheduled me with a physician assisant. thanks but no thanks. I'll be going elsewhere

Dr. Renaldo is the third doctor I've seen in the past 2 years because of insurance changes. This office is great! The front staff checked me in immediately and the wait time to the exam room was minimal. Her medical assistant was so pleasant adn professional. I have a lot of health issues and Dr. Renaldo spent so much time with me. I brought old records for her review and she reviewed them right then and there. She made a plan with me and drew some blood (was I impressed at the girl who drew my blood). She answered all my questions. This doctor actually examined me! I highly recommend her and this office.

I never had an experience like this before with ANY doctor, Dr. Renaldo is the rudest health care professional I ever met. She is condescending, sarcastic and angry. She pays little attention to you during your visit, instead she has her face in the computer the entire time. I was in disbelief with some of the mocking and snide comments. There is one big, fat chip on her shoulder and instead of befriending her patients, she alienates them.

Dr. Renaldo was recommended to us by friends. We were more than pleased with our first visit. We found her to be thorough and knowledgable. On our second visit, we found her to be a bit more personable. The only issue was that she didnt have our records from our other doctor. But she diagnosed my husband properly because the specialist we saw said the same thing. We really like the girl who draws our blood
