as an RN CCM, I worked over 42 yrs in healthcare. it was all about the best care for my patient...so run as fast as you can away from this provider who values money over the BEST care for his patient. He listens to Humana and not the patient...he prescribed the cheapest medication for my husband, not the best. he delayed my husbands total hip surgery for a year when he was in dire need (I know as this was my specialty area) I had to get all the records for him to approve when this should be done by his staff. when I changed my husbands doctor, the orthopedic surgeon said he was glad to see my husband was now with a real doctor. a friend of mine is now going to leave this practice as she's been told she has too many doctor. visits, He will not approve treatment suggested by his female doctor....she has sores all over arms and legs from a rehab place that are not being treated...she needs review of her medications but she says he will not change anything....for me as a nurse I find this… worse than horrible

This physician cares about one thing, money, To say I am appalled at his unprofessionalism is an understatement. This man lied about coverage for a relative of mine so he could place this relative at a facility he was Medical Director of. Thank God we knew better. Vile and hideous and absolutely should not be permitted to have a practice.

I was recently helping my father with a major health issue that was not solved by his regular physician and led him down several trials of medications that landed him no where towards recovery. I had heard very good things about Dr Labrador and his staff from people in the community and I decided to get a second opinion. Dr Labrador not only properly diagnosed my father, he uncovered an issue much deeper and he then fast tracked my dad to receive the proper attention from a specialist. Over two months since the visit and he is doing great! Had Dr Labrador not done a more thorough investigation, severe if not fatal issues would have occurred. Thank you to Doctor and his team!

We have been patients of Dr. Labrador Primary Care Center for the last 3 years. Currently, my daughter and her family and my son-in-law's parents also see these providers. Over the course of this time period, we have been consistently pleased and grateful for the high quality of service that they provide. I am a person with multiple, complicated medical issues. Since I have been a patient, my overall quality of life has increased dramatically as has that of my family members. Dr. Labrador and his team have been exceedingly compassionate and caring while providing an exceptional level of medical care and experience. We have received excellent referrals to specialists in a variety of different fields, have been seen within hours of a call for emergency care, have been treated with the upmost respect by the medical staff and top-notch support staff and now feel as though our medical care is a coordinated effort of the best St Petersburg has to offer. When I first came to this city, I… was referred to a physician with a seemingly good reputation who declined to see me because my medical problems were too severe. This was very discouraging to me until I was given Dr. Labrador's name by a trusted friend. Thank goodness I found Dr. Labrador and his associates as I have never been disappointed. 5-stars on all accounts.

My Dr. was Dr. McCoy, who is an excellent family physician. We would love to keep seeing Dr. McCoy, but unfortunately Dr. Labrador's office staff got in our way. We needed help from the insurance dept to resolve a misunderstanding with our insurance. My wife is actually covered by 2x policies (one through each of our employers). Dr. Labrador's office only take one of those policies. We needed their help to resolve a misunderstanding and coordinate benefits. After being treated rudely we were forced to eat $400 worth of covered medical costs, and the Office Manager (Dr. L's wife) actually deactivated us as patients; unbeknownst to either us or Dr. McCoy. I only found out about it when I called to change an appt time. I actually had to fight with Mrs. Labrador over the phone to get her to have Dr. McCoy give me a call to discuss the matter. I would love to continue to see Dr. McCoy, but just can't do it as long as Mrs. Labrador is running that office. I can't afford (time or $) to… handle my own insurance billing. And the added stress of dealing with it is counterproductive to the purpose I was there in the first place....:-(

Went to this doctor for 4 years. Found him and his staff to rude and condescending. No room for discussion and misdiagnosed issues twice. I found his wife, Kitty, to be difficult and less than honorable in her work. Would never go back.

Best doctor practice Dr. Carlos Labrador MD and staff are wonderful. I receive the best care every time I go there!

CLEANEST AND NICEST STAFF. DOCTOR AND EXTENDERS "THE BEST"

Watch out..do your homework on this physician and his P.A. Only seen Dr. Labrador once..and his P.A. is rude and talks to you like you are a only a number..
