Carol A Albert

I had a very brief therapeutic relationship with Carol Albert for several reasons, and I would not recommend her. She holds sessions in her apartment, which is off-putting because she appears to hoard stacks of old newspapers and junk, which I saw lying around every time I came in for a session. She also keeps a variety of animals around, including cats and parrots, and wasn't sensitive about the animals interrupting the sessions. She'd blithely suggest I might not mind if her cats jumped into my lap or if wild birds flew into the room while we met, and I had to be forceful about asking her not to allow animals in the room. Lastly, she fell asleep during our session and tried to play it off like she hadn't, and that was the final straw for me. I wrote her a couple of emails letting her know I wasn't happy with what had happened, and she entirely ignored me. Her lack of professionalism took me aback. She's better off retiring.
