Dr. Carol Kurtz Bates, MD

Dr. Bates put me in danger because she kept putting me on many medications which increased my chances of experiencing a Stroke and I had a Hemorrhagic Stroke in 2001! I wouldn't recommend her as a Physician because she put me in danger!

This Physician had me on 19 Medication in 2000 including the Birth Control Pill! Those 19 Medication were given by several Providers but Dr. Bates was my Primary Care Physician and was NOT WATCHING THE INTERACTIONS WITH THE 19 MEDICATIONS!!!!! THE BIRTH CONTROL PILL THEREFORE, PUT ME IN GREAT DANGER OF HAVING A STROKE OR HEART ATTACK AND I HAD A HEMORRHAGGIC STOKE AT 5:00 A.M. ON MY BEDROOM FLOOR! MY ROOMMATE FOUND ME IN A POOL OF BLLOD WITH MY EYES DEVIATED TO THE RIGHT ! I WAS UNCONSCIOUS WHICH PUT ME AT INCREASED RISK FOR DEATH! I SURVIVED BUT HAVE SEVERE DEFICITS AND HAVE EPILEPSY AS A RESULT OF THE DAMAGE TO MY ENTIRE RIGHT HEMISPHERE WHICH IS PITCH BLACK BECAUSE OF THE DRIED BLOOD FROM MY BLEED IN MY BRAIN! THE DAMAGE TO MY LIFE HAS BEEN UNBELIEVABLY FRIGHTENING, FRUSTRATING, AND HAVE HAD A DIFFICULT RECOVERY, EVEN NOW; AS I CONTINUOUSLY STRUGGLE WITH A SEVERE NON-VERBAL LEARNING DISABILITY IN ADDITION TO THE SEVERE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL DEFICITS FROM MY STROKE! MY… NON-VERBAL LEARNING DISABILITH PREDATES MY STROKE, BUT IS NOG ADDRESSED BY PROVIDERS OF EMERGENCY PERSONEL EVEN TODAY! I AM WRITING A BOOK " LIFE AFTER THE STORM", BECAUSE THERD IS ABSOLUTELY ZERO SXCUSE FOR ANY PROVIDER TO ALLOW SOMEONE TO NEEDLESSLY SUFFER FOR THE RDST OF THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF THE ABSOLUTE CARELESSNESS DISREGARD, BLATENT IGNORANCE OF THUS PROVIDER, PERIOD!!!!!!

Carol Bates has been my and my husband's physician for more than ten years. She is fantastic: thorough, follows up on every issue or problem, takes time to answer our many questions, explores with other doctors any issue about which she is not already deeply informed in order to get to the root of our various health concerns. She also knows when pills are NOT the best solution! Sometimes it's a matter of exercising a lot more, or avoiding certain foods, or dumping the 8-pound shoulder bag that was causing me terrible shoulder and neck pain for months. After she pointed out that I should get a smaller, lighter briefcase, I did -- and the pain faded away!

Dr. Bates is courtesy and compastnate I've been seeing her for twenty years and she is been there for me when I was ill for several months and I always can get appt fast if needed.

Dr. Bates has been my PCP for many years. She is one of the brightest doctors that I have ever met. She is kind, gentle and very dedicated.I wish the made more doctors like her.
