Dr. Carol Rachel Kurz, MD

I went to see Dr. Kurz today for some issues (hormonal/fertility) i’ve been dealing with for a while. These issues have been very difficult, sensitive, and personal for me. I was hoping to be able to ask questions and speak about my issues. I brought in my blood work from an outside clinic hoping she would look at them. All she did was cut me off when I was speaking, give her negative opinion on the choices i was making, tell me there’s nothing that can be done and she wouldn’t look at my blood work. she talked down to me as if i was stupid. i couldn’t even tell her what the findings were on the blood work because she was too busy telling me that i was wasting my time and money and it was pointless to take these tests. she was extremely condescending, impatient, rude, and it made me feel terrible. i got no answers and left her office crying. all of this was within the span of 10 minutes. don’t work with women if you are going to be condescending to women. don’t be in healthcare if you… are going to treat people badly. i am in the early stages of college to go to med school and i can tell you no one is forcing you to be a doctor. if you are going to choose to work with people, know you are dealing with very sensitive things in their lives. have some compassion. one of the worst doctors i’ve ever seen. (her nurse samantha was amazing. she was the best part of the whole visit. props to her)

Carol's fast action and ability to empathize with her clients and not overlooking anything and helping me to overcome fear of screening procedures. I owe it ALL to Dr. Kurz. Without her intuitive mind and years of school and experience I am able to sit here, at work no less, and write this today. Please don't be negative just because she may have had to tell you something you did not like to hear. FIVE FIVE FIVE and FIVE more Stars.

Like mos if the reviews hers my experience with her was awful. She didn’t let me advocate for my right to an annual Pap smear she refused to see me and do one. She is very cold, condescending and a bitter person. Definitely has issues she is bringing me to work or she hates hers job. I have never ever met a doctor lie this.she could care less about you as a person, you are just another patient on a conveyor belt of patients. She is very condescending. I will never go back to her and I hope Kaiser admin sees these awful experiences and evaluates her

By far the worst first time OB appt ever. It was my first ultrasound for my baby. She barely let me film the monitor, didn’t explain anything, was cold and completely rude. Time for her to switch careers, caution if you go to her! Never again.

Dr. Kurz saved (or at least prolonged) my life by being human, listening, and being not only understanding, but technically a consumate professional and a fantastic great surgeon and caring person.

We all feel weird going to see the OB/GYN, its not comfortable for anyone. I was very nervous and was assigned this doctor and I will for sure never revisit her. She spent no more than 5 minutes with me (including my exam), and basically told me I had to get tested for STDs regardless of what I told her. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago when I was living in another state and told her how it effected me, and she basically just wrote it off like I was lying and didn't know what I was talking about. She is very cold and seems like she could care less about you as a person, you are just another patient on a conveyor belt of patients. She is very blunt and straight forward in a way that is very condescending. I will never go back to her.

The worst. She is straight forward but in a condescending and non-empathetic way... especially being an OBGYN. She is rude and makes patients feel stupid for being there. Time to move on Dr. Kurz.

I appreciate a doctor that tells it like it is. I never found her comments callous or cold, but she was direct and confident which I very much want from my doctor. She was thorough and I was comfortable with and able to ask questions. If you tend to be timid and need hand-holding, perhaps she's not right for you.

Cold person! She puts you down and doesn't let you get a word in.
