Dr. Carol Ann Linebarger, MD

Highly unethical practices and profit-centered, not patient-centered. I was a concierge patient for a year- Dr. Linebarger was my primary care physician. Despite already paying the $250/month concierge fee, she sold me a prescription medication at a $100 markup from what the pharmacy sells it (1) without being transparent about the markup and (2) refused to write me a prescription to buy it from the pharmacy directly (despite a diagnosed medical condition and the pharmacy accepting prescriptions). Her secretary was clear that their practice has to make a profit so they won’t write a prescription for that particular medication, even if the patient has a diagnosed condition that warrants it. I’ve since transferred to another physician who happily wrote me a prescription to the same pharmacy Dr. Linebarger buys meds from and I no longer have to worry about my doctor prioritizing their own profit over my physical health. The so-called convenience of concierge at this practice is not… worth the price gauging and lack of empathy and care they show their “premium” patients.
