Dr. Carol Porter, PhD

Saw her for a period of time. I know as much about her personal life as she does mine. She instilled doubt in my own decisions and progress as well as in my partner. I felt isolated and trapped and unable to escape. Hindsight is 20/20 but it was impossible to see while going through it.

This was the worst therapist I've ever seen in my life. I truly believe she is a narcissist who became a therapist to take advantage of the most vulnerable people of society. She has said horrible things to me and then justified saying them when I asked her not to. For example, she told me I disgusted her and immediately justified it by saying that it was alright to say to me because it wasn't a 'you are' statement. She almost ruined my life and by insisting on the wrong diagnosis. I know every detail of this woman's life as she does not ever stop talking about herself unless it's to criticize her patient. She even talks about her sex life....I had a bad childhood and meeting her gave my adulthood just as much trouble. Avoid this woman at all costs.

I had the misfortune of having Dr. Porter as a therapist. She spent a great deal of time talking about herself. I sat through endless hours of vacation photos and stories. Personal info about landlord seeing her vibrator on her nightstand.....I swear this is all true. She set me back a few years!!!
