Dr. Carole P Prete, MD

I found this doctor to be very insensitive towards me as my PCP. Condescending and refused to take me seriously. She actually lied to me and downplayed how serious my osteoarthritis was. Said it was mild. Refused my request for an MRI. Months later I saw an orthopedic surgeon who told me it wasn't mild but end stage and severe and required a hip replacement. Had Dr Prete informed me of the severity months prior, I could have applied for SSDI sooner instead of struggling with my pain for so long. She dismissed my pain, cost me a lot of time and made poor treatment recommendations. I switched to another doctor in her office for a while. He was younger and much nicer, but later turned against me the same way she did. I suspect she made some kind of disparaging statements about me to him and that's why his demeanor towards me changed. Terrible way to do medicine. I'm a health professional myself so I know when someone isn't doing their job properly. I ended up having a lot of improperly… diagnosed problems because of her negligence.

Dr. Carol Prete is the best Doctor Ever!! Dr. Prete has the BEST bedside manner you could ever wish for in a Doctor. I drove 60 miles round trip to see her. She was my Doctor for years at NorthShore hospitals, and if she is still practicing medicine, I would definitely go and be her patient and drive the miles to see her! All the Best, Cassandra Cooper

She misdiagnosed me without asking the right questions. She laughed at me when I told me my symptoms. Why? She should be referred to the medical board. Not ethical, not professional, not a real doctor. Find a different one.

This "doctor" is not professional. I wouldn't trust her if my life counted on it. Plus, shes very judgmental and asks questions that are so condescending in nature.

I selected this doctor as my primary physician since she is close to my place and was accepting new patients. After enrolling I called and the waiting time is 9 months! Her staff told me, in a very rude manner, that I should not complain about waiting time because the doctor is very busy. As a new patient, she wouldn't refer me over the phone. I guess I will have to wait for 9 months, or they will get my illness when I will be authopsied.

Takes time to listen carefully and explain all issues thoroughly.

Best listerner; keeps digging until she finds the root cause of troublesome symptoms; wonderful person!

I especially like how well Dr. Prete explains the procedures etc.

Amazing doctor. Thorough and great care

Dr. Prete is a wonderful doc. she spends time with the patient, asks excellent questions, and makes patient believe/know she cares about his/her health and entire situation. I couldn't happier with her care!
