Dr. Carolina Vac Nelson, MD

Dr Nelson is an excellent PCP. She listens to the patient and works to educate and help resolve issues. She is very knowledgeable and a great diagnostician.

i was referred by a trusted friend. less than one month later she was gone from the location . NO notification. i had to assume my records never were transferred from my old doctor and things were left in the wind... not a phone call email or letter. i had told her i was not interested in going downtown due to a traumatic experience and wanted a doctor in my neighborhood .with that being said i ASSUMED she listened to me. now she is downtown. it's a horrible way to treat a patient. it told me i meant nothing.

I have been a patient of Dr Nelson for over two years now. I have always been treated very professionally. Dr Nelson takes her time with me listening at each appointment. I would recommend her.

With one exception, frontline office staff are extremely rude, especially "A" who hangs up the phone on you when you call if you've ever complained about her poor patient relations. I have cancer and called the office (my primary physician) for a necessary blood test appointment. "A" said she'd set up the appointment but did not. I contacted the office two additional times through the MyBayCare health portal, received no response and the appointment was still not made. I have no doubt the doctor either explicitly or implicitly condones the unethical and dangerous games "A" plays with patients she does not like. When the frontline administration of a professional office is allowed to act in this manner, it reflects on the doctor. I can't comment on if she is a good doctor or not but I can attest to the fact that she runs a terrible office.
