Dr. Carolyn Susan Cooper, MD

Carolyn Cooper is not committed to practice as a medical doctor. Her lack of responsibility led to a long term physical problem

I had a severe and sudden pain problem and I spent two weeks urgently calling Dr. Cooper's office and couldn't get a call back, an appointment or any help and was essentially "abandoned". Not good. I ended up going to another doctor due to absence of communication. Also, once I had a small piece of glass in my foot that would be a cinch for MD to remove - instead of scheduling appointment Dr. Cooper told me to go to an emergency room (for non-emergency) care and have someone else remove the glass. . . ..what is a family doctor for?

- Dr. Cooper is kind and listens to your concerns. You can feel comfortable calling her if you have any problems. However, this does not mean she is by any means easy to reach as her office staff (currently situated on 2100 Webster St, Suite 418) are for the most part awful. Her 'assistant', a male I believe, called Kevvy or something along those lines, proves that it is easy to blur the lines between being a 'doctor' and being a doctor's assistant, both of which, I might add, are not god's gift to mankind (although that seems to be a popular assumption among the medical community today). That being said, he was extremely rude and left a message on someone else's voice mail regarding a prescription that I was told would not be able to be filled until Dr. Cooper was in the office, and insisted he CALLED Me, had the audacity to contact my family member and tell her that I had to pick up the prescription immediately and moreover, told her what medication it was (and thus, my 'condition'),… which despite her knowing, I believe, violates patient doctor confidentiality. Upon calling the office back, enraged by the lack of professionalism that runs rampant in that office of buffoons, Kevvy insisted that he had contacted the right person (there is no reasoning with crazy), took no responsibility for divulging in the patient's details with someone WHO was neither the patient nor the doctor. Truth be told, his less than forthcoming attitude and his oh-i'm holier than thou ' i don't want to argue with you' and ' you need to get a grip' response to my bringing up his incompetence and my obvious displeasure with his sharing of my medical information is not symbolic of one who is taking the high road, but rather denotes the act of a giant ignoramus in need of etiquette and human decency 101- for life. Not to mention the attitude of his colleague (female - alas, i forget the name, but when she picks up the phone, the rudeness will just hit you like a drunk driver out of nowhere (don't let it get to you though). Simply because you are office staff: use your hand to pick up the phone and your mouth to speak (which in this instance, is really unnecessary and unwelcome), does not make you god's gift to earth. this isn't a matter of professionalism. if you need to be trained on how to be polite and courteous to other human beings, can dish it, but can't take it, you need to file for welfare because you are the reason why the country is in tatters and why good people are jobless and incompetent chavs have jobs. if you want your patient records to be kept private, make sure you bring an NDA for them to sign. even then, i don't think they're capable of keeping their mouths shut- with the exception of dr. cooper. however, regarding the office staff...there is no saving them.

dr. cooper is absolutely fantastic and spends a great deal of time to really investigate and know you. she is superb!!!
