Dr. Carolyn Taylor, MD

Carolyn Taylor was the most caring doctor I have ever seen. It has been some time but my assumption is she has not changed. Doctors are busy people. Remember that. It is mutual respect.

I would never recommend anyone to see this doctor. 1) She no longer practices at this location and has moved to Bellevue. 2) She is not open to alternative medicine. 3) She tried to charge me $250.00 up front when my insurance clearly states that that I don't have a co-pay. 4) She didn't tell me anything that the radiologist hadn't already stated. I am so glad that I didn't pay the money her office staff tried to demand from me. I saw her in July, my insurance wasn't billed until the following April. I then didn't receive my bill (which was less than $30 by the way), until June, almost a full year since I had seen her. Then, since she had moved, I had difficulties getting a payment to her because she had relocated. Imagine if I had need to get a refund of the $220!

She helped me when I had already seen 5 other neurologists for the same condition. She respected my aversion to medication.

Ending up in the hospital after my fourth seizure I was referred to Dr. Carolyn Taylor. In a seemingly urgent situation after having been referred to a doctor who was accepting new patients I had to wait more than a month for an appointment to see her. She sat down with me had me recite the scenarios in which I had my seizures, promptly told me what she thought was wrong, scheduled tests, and left in under 20 minutes. The three appointments were scheduled over the next month during which my license was suspended. She made me incredibly fearful of driving by telling me horror stories of past patients, and how she would testify against me in court, and that I could go to jail. She didn't tell me anything to do if another seizure occurred again, which had me in a constant state of fear, for three months! Finally after the month of testing she scheduled me for an appointment one month later, three months after my last seizure. I waited for 45 minutes for my appointment, which again lasted… less than 20 minutes. She told me I had epelipsy, and I would have to take certain drugs for the rest of my life, no other possibilities, with no explanation of what that meant. When I asked her questions about epilepsy instead of answering she handed me paperwork, told me to read it, and that I could look up additional information online. Talk about leaving me scared and confused! She prescribed me medication told me that I would have to ween onto it because some people have a fatal reaction to it, but didn't explain how slow to ween on or how to cut and portion the full dose medication I was given. She didn't have any interest in my personal story, who I was as a person, and had to look at my chart to remember my name. She scheduled no follow up visit ever again, no annual visit, and made no calls or effort to contact me once I was weened on to my medication to make sure there were no troubles or complications. She just told me to go to the hospital if it happened again. When I call to get my prescription refilled I never talk to a person, I'm simply supposed to leave a message and they send it to my pharmacy, no contact at all. All in al, a very un personal doctor, I wouldn't recommend her to anyone! I am currently looking for someone new, who is actually compassionate and interested in their patients. Being diagnosed with a new disease after a lifetime of perfect health is a very scary situation to be in and Dr. Carolyn Taylor did nothing to alleviate that fear.

She is a very nice person and if you have MS she may be very good. My appt was not recorded somehow in the book even though I had a card, the front staff did not apologize and made me come back. I continue to have neurologic issues and will have to go to a different doc.

I felt that she really listened to me and gave me a thorough examination. Afterward she explained my problem and answered my questions without making me feel like I was rushed. I would highly recommend her.
