Dr. Carrie Louise Bell, MD

I’m really disappointed with how this doctor handle my entire first appt. With this being my first pregnancy, and a little complications before hand. I was really looking forward to my first appointment with my OB. She made me feel very uncomfortable, felt like she didn’t want to answer my questions. What talk to me in a straight face but try to smile, and you can just feel that nothing was real coming from her. She wasn’t interested in anything I had to say about all my complications and concerns. I had to do further testing’s and I was very anxious and worried about the results. She told me to not call the office for my results, they will call me and they will not be done fast. Then decided to give me the results very poorly, and left me in tears multiple times. I was really looking forward to building a bond with this doctor and going forward with my prenatal visits at u of m. However, I am switching doctors. I can’t have the feeling of disappointment every time I’m getting ready… to go to the doctors or leave in tears. This is supposed to be a positive experience and I should be in happy tears.

She rspects patient autonomy, is technically solid, is thorough/spends time -- just a great person.

Dr. Bell is an excellent and caring physician. She was thorough and capable in diagnosing and treating my ovarian cyst. She took time to answer all my questions. She was accessible and worked extra hours to address an emergency situation. She was skillful in her surgery and went the extra mile in all phases of my care.
