Dr. Carrie Cooper-Fenske Sanan, MD

Dr. Sanan has terrible bedside manner. She does not communicate things well. I will not be returning to see her.

Dr. Sanan should not be practicing medicine. Not only is her bedside manner terrible, but she withholds information from patients and behaves inappropriately. At my 40 week appointment Sanan informed me she would schedule my induction (no conversation). When I told her I wanted to wait to go into labor naturally and asked what the risks were of going over my due date, she told me my placenta was like a battery and would die and so could my baby (not true - ACOG recommends allowing pregnancy to go to 42 weeks unless otherwise medically necessary to induce). At my 6 week postpartum check, I was still bleeding and asked if that was normal. She asked if I was breastfeeding, and when I said yes, she told me I would bleed the entire time I was breastfeeding (not true at all). She then pressured me into hormonal birth control and when I declined she sarcastically asked if I was looking to get pregnant. I told her no. She asked if I was going to use condoms, and I said yes. She… laughed in my face and told me "You won't like them. Trust me. They won't feel good anymore." My husband and I were so uncomfortable we left the visit and I've never been back. BEWARE of this OB. She should have told me my options for NST etc at my 40 week appointment. She should not fearmonger her patients about bleeding while breastfeeding (something I had NEVER heard before), or make inappropriate comments regarding birth control and sex. This woman should absolutely not be practicing medicine.

This woman came in the room to meet a first time patient and did not have my chart with her, didn’t even have a lab coat on. Acted like everything i said & questions I asked her were the dumbest questions she’s ever heard. (These questions i have been waiting months to get answers to and paid a 50 dollar co-pay to see a “specialist”) Thank god i am not a first time mother or I would of probably left in tears after that visit. I have very much liked the other doctors i have seen with the Christ network. But I will never go back to that location. This is just a briefing of my visit. I could go into more detail but I will leave it here. If you are a first time mother, or just want an ob that you feel cares about your concerns. Request another ob.
