Five stars all the way! Dr. Cary Motz is a highly skilled and exceptional surgeon with a fantastic team. He was professional, clear, and reassuring throughout the whole journey. The entire surgical team made me.feel safe and cared for. I am forever grateful for his kindness, compassion, and surgery expertise. He took the time to thoroughly explain the surgical procedure, and the recovery process. He answered all my questions patiently, which instantly put my mind at ease. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cary Motz. I've known Dr. Motes for about 15 years, and while I've never personally needed orthopedic surgery, my family has trusted him during some very important moments. He performed my wife’s ACL surgery years ago, and now he's treating my daughter for an ACL and meniscus injury.As a parent, it is incredibly stressful to watch your child face a serious injury and upcoming surgery. Dr. Motes has made the situation as reassuring and manageable as possible. His bedside manner is excellent, his explanations are clear, and he brings a level of confidence and calm that makes a difficult process feel less overwhelming. There are a TON of orthopedic surgeons out there, but there's no one I trust more than Dr. Motz. I consider him a friend, but more importantly, I trust his judgment, skill, and care completely. God forbid I ever need orthopedic care myself, but if I do, there is no question I would go to him. If you're dealing with an orthopedic… injury and want a surgeon who combines expertise, technology, compassion, and genuine care, I highly recommend Dr. Cary Motz.

Dr Motz and his team were absolutely wonderful! I wanted a second opinion and my primary care office recommended their office. When I called to schedule they were professional and helpful, the front office staff had me checked in promptly, and I was taken back early for my appointment. Dr Motz came in on time and actually spent time with me, which is such a nice change!! He spent the time with me to hear what was going on, what the other doctor thought, what his thoughts are, my next steps forward, and he took me out and showed me my X-rays and MRI, which the previous doctor did not. Dr Motz was very thorough and CARES!! Thank you Dr Motz and the entire team at OCC for the great experience!!

I was really hopeful going into my appointment, finally having an MRI of my stiff shoulder and looking forward to discussing treatment options to improve my quality of life—ideally something short of a total shoulder replacement. Unfortunately, this doctor did not meet my expectations at all. He briefly looked at an X-ray for just a few seconds and quickly concluded that I have a bone spur causing the stiffness. When I asked about possibly removing the bone spur—a procedure that I know is commonly done—he dismissed it outright, saying, “Why would I do that when I can just do a joint replacement?” I’m 43 years old, active in sports, and work a physically demanding job that requires lifting and wrenching. A total shoulder replacement is not a practical or desirable solution for me at this point in my life. I asked about alternative treatment options, and instead of providing any insight, he looked at me and said, “Like what?”—with an attitude that made it feel like I was supposed to… educate him on possible treatments. It was incredibly frustrating. I left the appointment feeling unheard, dismissed, and deeply disappointed. It didn’t even seem like he looked at my MRI results, and he showed no genuine interest in helping me find a solution tailored to my lifestyle. His demeanor was smug and uninterested throughout the visit, which gave off a really bad vibe. Unless you’re already committed to joint replacement surgery, I would not recommend this doctor. If you’re looking for someone to explore options and actually work with you to improve your quality of life, look elsewhere.

Dr Motz is great and his staff are great. Very friendly and professional. They are helping me through my injuries with very personal care. I am recommending them to anyone that needs this type of care.

I have visited Dr Motz’s office for two different reasons over the past year and he’s always been professional and willing to answer any questions I have.

I went to Dr Motz because my previous Dr retired. I found Dr Motz from my insurance referrals. The first time I went in to this office everything was great. I had been getting the knee injection gels for something like 7 years. The staff was very helpful, even though getting the prescription takes a long time once you get through all of the red tape and jump the hoops from the insurance company. Got the injections, six months later when you can have the injections done again, I call to set up an appointment and was told they don’t want to go through the specialty pharmacy where the insurance will cover the prescription but I can buy the meds from the office on a cash basis which will not go toward any of my deductible or out of pocket costs! Why is this office/doctor on my insurance list if they don’t want to work with the insurance company!
