Dr. Casey Glenn Miller, MD

I have been lucky with doctors for over 20 years. I have received thorough and excellent care. My diabetes care under Casey Miller has been terrible. No tests for over a year because he somehow thinks that daily fasting blood tests are not effective. Ignoring the ADA he insists on A1C tests instead but then does not schedule them. The diabetes community disagrees with him also and is quite incredulous that he takes this approach. Needless to say he is no longer my doctor. He was not thorough and I wish I had acted sooner.

This office is not patient-centric. It is so automated that doctoring takes a back seat to economics. The office called to move my appointment up to accommodate Dr Miller leaving early. I agreed. The person never told me to come early, even after I mentioned my insurance had changed.  I drove during a blinding storm, but arrived right on time. However, I was held up in the doorway behind an elderly gentleman with a folder asking the attendant questions. He was subsequently Corona-questioned & temp taken. Finally, my turn. After a few minutes, I was directed to a sign-in kiosk. I tapped in my ID info, appointment time & Dr on several pages, hit enter. Something obnoxious to the effect popped up, "YOU ARE LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. SEE RECEPTION."  She checked. Apparently I was now 6 minutes late. I was told everyone was expected to come 15 min early, so she had to reschedule me, no matter why. I insisted she ask Dr. Miller, but he was firm also; rules say reschedule! Well aren't they… special! Isn't Dr. Miller so precious & caring? My appointment was for 15 minutes - a blood pressure check & prescription renewal. Do you think he could have done that, or his nurse, in my remaining 9 minutes that they instead harassed me? After making me late with the greeting activities? They do have CYA Rules about tardiness that you're supposed to read, I was informed. Maybe, if it's that crucial to making money that they have to reprimand people like little children,  denegrade & punish their patients for such egregious transgretions that they contributed to, you might want to go elsewhere... Somewhere where the main doctor purpose is medical care. I will. And BTW, if you're a new patient...? The intake exam takes 3 visits over a few weeks: office visit Bill #1 "Hello" & smiles all around- keep your clothes on; Office visit Bill #2 Labs (they were Late, I waited 15 min); Office visit bill #3 The Exam-also keep your clothes on. Welcome to Hampstead Wilmington Health Family Practice Corporation Conglomerate where doctoring comes in dead last after corporate rules affairs & max billing routines. So glad I accommodated Dr Miller when HE called ME LESS THAN 24hrs before my scheduled appintment, after I'd already confirmed. Take a lesson on people skills, Dr Miller - come down off your pedestal.
