Cassandra M Sims, MD

I chose Dr. Sims because she was ranked as one of the best doctor's in the Kaiser system. However, I found her to be repeatedly dismissive and condescending. At first, I just chalked it up to her being overworked but this behavior continued in all of our communications. During my first visit, I mentioned several times (like 4-5 times) that I had been off my medication for several months because I had moved and had a lapse in insurance. It did not register for her at all. It wasn't until she was trying to rush me out the door that I asked about blood work. She asked me why that was necessary. Again I reiterated that I had been off my medication because I hadn't had insurance and we needed to get a baseline reading. It was only then that she actually heard what I had been saying the whole visit. At that appointment, she also didn't address the main reason for my visit and I had to send her a message several weeks later to follow up on my primary reason for going in. Over all, a very… poor experience.

After suffering for 11 years with a terrible Physician, Dr. Sims SAVED ME! I was ready to leave Kaiser, then I randomly chose a new physician and the Gods smiled on me. Dr. Sims is professional, extremely efficient, warm and kind manner and has found a treatment for my Type 2 Diabetes. I owe her my life. Thank you Dr. Sims!

Every visit I have had with Dr. Sims has been exceptional. She is friendly, caring, and always takes the time needed to handle my concerns. Hi hit the lottery when I found Dr. Sims.
