Dr. Catherine C Emeruwa, MD

On August 2, 2017, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. (Cathy) Emeruwa to review my labs. The appointment was set for 10:20 am. Upon my arrival, which was shortly after 10:00am, I became aware that she was not there. While waiting, two additional patients showed up and signed in. Her employees had horrible attitudes and were extremely unprofessional. After sitting for over 30 minutes, her poorly trained receptionist stood up and said 'Dr. Cathy is not here, can y’all reschedule?' I inquired about her arrival time, she said around 12:30 pm. I told the receptionist that I could not wait that long and she replied 'hold on'. She then announced that Dr. Cathy would be there around 11:30. After that announcement, they checked in the elderly lady that came after me and then checked me in. As I sat in the room, one of her assistant’s came in, took my vitals, and ask if I was really going to wait on the doctor? I told her that I cannot just go back to work for an hour and come back. Dr.… Cathy finally showed up and went to see the elderly lady first. I sat in the room, heard her prompt a healthy sex life to an elderly woman and heard her play a video from her phone. After waiting for 2 hours, I couldn’t wait any longer. Frustrated, I demanded my lab results and left at noon without seeing the doctor. She has not offered an apology for her unpolished behavior and still charged my insurance company. In my book that is stealing! SHE IS THE WORST DOCTOR IN ATLANTA! If you still consider using her, pay attention to her assistant’s attitude, out dated forms, and unprofessional appearance of the facility.

I had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE of my LIFE trying to set an appointment with this doctors office. The staff member named Sonya was belligerent, disrespectful, unprofessional, childish, and down right rude. I cannot believe that a doctor's office would employ such classless individual to represent them when dealing with potential and current patients . It was ASTONISHING how RUDE she was. I was calling to set an appointment with this doctors office, but after my experience I will never attempt to do so again. I warn and advised any one considering this doctors to avoid it at all cost. It is not worth the money to even try to go to here.

Won't return phone calls to schedule appointments to get renewals on essential meds. Promised appointment with her and, surprise!, it's someone else.

Your office opens at 9 and is suppose to take calls at this time. It's now 10 and you've yet to start answering calls. Does not inspire confidence.

Absolutely the worst doctor I've seen in my entire life. I went for a basic physical prior to a mission trip in Africa. Without my knowledge or consent, she ran extensive and unnecessary diagnostic bloodwork with LabCorp that resulted in my receipt of a $900 bill, out-of-pocket. Based on the bloodwork, she also told me that I had Lupus and Celiac disease, neither of which I have any symptoms for. I saw three other doctors after she gave me such terrible and scary diagnoses, and all of them assured me that I was perfectly healthy and that she was an unprofessional quack. She also gave me the wrong dosage for malaria medication in Africa.

Much like other reviews wait time is 3+ hours, seems like poor planning on the office side. Nursing/reception staff are rude and seem uneducated. I usually go to the buckhead location, but needed to have some test results read (which they would not give me over the phone) so I had to schedule an appointment at the Fairburn location. When I arrived Dr Cathy was not in the office that day, nor did her counterpart have my test results or have any idea why I was being seen that day! But of course this visit was billed to my insurance company and counted towards my annual allowed visits and I had to pay a copay. I should have just stayed in bed and flushed 50 down the toilet! I had to go get my test results my self from the hospital and have since seen a specialist to review the results. The only reason I have another appointment scheduled is because I need a refill on a prescription and she won't fill without seeing me again. In the meantime, looking for a new Doctor.

Wait time was very long. 3.5 Hours, last 2 visits. Not happy with receptionist at all. She (Sonia) talks very badly. Just like we are their servants. It was not easy to get appointment.

I called the office during regular business hours to make an appointment and after three tries, I left a message. No one has returned my call...Thanks for the heads up. I will be looking elsewhere. Please note that I have not seen this doctor, however, a rating is required for each area.

I think Dr.Catherine was excellent. It was my first time ever visiting her. After that first visit I decided to have her my for family physician. She's the first doctor I've been to in my whole life that really help me to know my problem concerning my health ... So thank Dr. CATHERINE KEEP DOING YOUR JOB. BY THE WAY I GAVE YOUR NUMBER & Address to some of my co-worker.

was referred to Dr Emeruwa by a close friend. Lately I have been having issues with male stimulation which was causing marital problems. I reached out to Dr Cathy and was given an appointment to be seen for the following week. I saw Dr Cathy at her Buckhead location. When I called my first impression was that the front Desk lady had a very welcoming tone-not your regular young, I am in a rush tone-but welcoming. I immediately felt comfortable to go see Dr Cathy to discuss my main issue-erectile dysfunction. I was called 3 days before my appointment to let me know based on my insurance Dr Cathy has to be listed in the system as my primary care physician. The young lady walked me through the process and told me when my effective date would be if I made the change. Needless to say my appointment was postponed another week because the insurance needed to update the information and send me a new card however I did not mind because my current primary physician was not helping in my opinion.… When I went to my appointment I thought the office was small but comfortable. I was seen maybe 40 minutes after waiting. When I finally met Dr Cathy I swear she was more than I expected. So thorough. She listened to me, went over previous records and did various test relating to my situation. She really dug deep. I didnt want to leave. Currently my marriage is better, my wife and I are patients of Dr Cathys, and we attend counseling. I always feel welcomed, treated with care, and that someone is listening to me. All I can say is thank you.
