Dr. Catherine Ann Larson, MD

I was a patient of Larson's for more than 30 years. Although I am adverse to change I couldn't take her lack of bedside manner any longer. She seemed not to know what prescription medicine I was taking although she prescribed it. I've heard a rumor that she's retiring--well overdue.

Waited for months to see Dr Larson. I am in good health but I had a rash on my face that had been there for months and I had some concerns with arthritis pain. We talked about the arthritis and she showed me how to tape my feet. She glanced at my rash and told me to buy some over the counter cortisone cream and to use a moisturizer. Two months later I still have the rash so I called her office to see if I could get a referral to a dermatologist. She relayed to me through a very nice nurse/assistant that she didn't actually see anything while I was at the appointment and that she would not refer me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Larson for 36 years. She has always provided me with excellent care. She is very competent, thorough and respectful, and always spends as much time as needed to explain things and be sure she has answered any questions I may have. I highly recommend her.

Thoughtless, no tact. I was her patient for years and finally decided I didn't need the rudeness.

Worst doctor I've ever been to.

Annual physical, to this doctor's mind, "is a waste of medical resource". She recommended me to have annual physical every five years. What a joke! With this doctor, if you are healthy and are sure you will continue to be healthy, she should be fine for you with her seemingly friendly manners. But if you have the awareness to distinguish between a good doctor and a bad one, you will know she definitely belongs to the latter group. If you can see the true characters of hers behind that artificial smile, you will know she cares about her money pocket a lot more than your health. That's why every time when I even mention the name of a preventive test, it ruffles her feathers so much that her face would change in one second right in front of your eyes, clearly showing her irritation upon that. Her sensitive area is her money pocket, especially with HMO patients. Flee from her if you think there is a possibility, somewhere down the future, you may need some medical attention,… because I know she is not going to be pleasant to deal with when that happens. At those weak moments of yours, you deserve better, so much better!

Dr. Larson has been my primary care physician for well over 20 years. I have faith in her and her ability to take care of my health needs. She is also an exceptional person, as well as an excellent doctor!
