Dr. Catherine A. Liebman, DO

Rude, unhelpful, and lacked empathy. Physician does not understand chronic health conditions and their associated roles in attending appointments during a flare.

This physician was rude and condescending. She thought she was correct in her suggestion of what to do for my hip pain. I mentioned that in doing some research online I found that arthroscopic surgery might be helpful for my condition. She said, "Ma'am If you were a.young athlete I might consider it, but not for someone your age.. ..} I thought she denigrated my attempts to understand options for my treatment and treated me in a rude fashion. She is too young to have these unkind ways of treating patients.

All of the things that others have said about her being rude, arrogant, condescending and accepting no responsibility when her staff gives incorrect information are in my opinion 100% correct. Does not manner to me if she may know something about orthopedics or not which I am still not sure. She has a take it or leave it attitude so after two chances I am going to leave it. Too bad Penn because all of my other Doctors there are excellent.

Rude, impatient, snappy, and condescending. Overall, a very unpleasant and unproductive experience. This person should not be dealing with patients.

I don’t know how she got a 5* rating on Penn Med website. She was so rude and totally uninterested in my issue. Will never visit her again. The nurse did help me much more than this doctor

I had a really disappointing experience with this doctor. I came in to get evaluated for a hamstring injury and I felt like she gave me very little insight and advice for care. This was particularly frustrating because I was paying a hefty copay to see this specialist. It felt like a big waste of time.

I went to see Dr. liebman for foot pain and she Didn’t help me out all. She is unprofessional and needs to go back to medical school

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! - Gentle, compassionate and skilled. Would definitely go to Dr. Liebman for any joint injection or related procedure, without hesitation.

On Sunday I took my 9 yr old daughter to Patient First in Woodbury since her doctor was not open. Let me just say that I really like Patient First and have used this facility a few times prior and never had any problems. Staff and nurses were always extremely nice and professional. However I brought my daughter in for fever, sore throat, coughing up green mucus and knew she would need an antibiotic. My older daughter was at home with strep - my older daughter's rapid strep test came back negative and the culture came back positive. The nurse swab her for strep. Dr. Liebman comes into the room and says very curtly I'm Dr. Liebman what is going on. No interaction no nothing. Needless to say my daughter's rapid strep came back negative at which time I told her about my older daughter's test. Dr. Liebman said she would swab her again and send it out. My daughter gets very anxious about getting the swab done so she prefers to lay down. After the Dr. Liebman attempts to swab her… she said very curtly again "no no no your gonna have to sit up gravity isn't helping I can't do it this way" I was speechless!!! Thereafter she says yet again very curtly she will not prescribe antibiotics unless a test comes back positive. I again expressed my thoughts and given the situation with my older daughter at home but she would not have it. It ended by her saying we will call you in a few days and take these papers up to discharge. That was it!!! No eye contact, no compassion, no bedside manner no nothing. SHE IS UTTERLY RUDE!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! AND SHOULD NOT WORTH WITH CHILDREN!!!!! FYI I had to take her to her peds and they prescribed her meds. Got a call today from Patient First and the culture came back positive for strep.
