I was referred to Dr Matthews after a significant injury to my bladder during a hysterectomy. I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and compassion. I knew that I was in the most capable of hands. She has made follow up phone calls with me multiple times. I have always felt that she was a partner with my spouse and I during this process. She is the best that Medicine has to offer.

When I presented with a medical condition, she explained that I have three options, with the last one being surgery. I am now on step two, and I have full confidence in her expertise. I was not referred by another physician. I did my own extensive research to find someone skilled in my conditions. Her credentials speak for themselves. She is extremely busy, doesn't spend lots of time with you, but that is because she is so good at what she does that causes her to have so many patients.

I have had several visits to Dr. Matthews after being referred to her by another dr. Dr. Matthews has HORRIBLE follow up. She sent me off to have several tests done for my prolapse and other pelvic floor issues. She NEVER called me back to discuss any of my test results. Her recommendation was to simply eat a lot of fiber and buy a squatty potty. I wanted surgery to correct the problem but she didn't seem to care that I had been struggling with my issues for 3 years. She sent me to another specialist and he said he would give his notes to her. That was 3 months ago. Do you think she ever called to discuss anything with me? No she did not. The one time I did call her office and ask why she hadn't called me back with the results and to discuss options, she got an attitude with me and told me that my issue was not "urgent." Ok, but why am I paying you when you are not even interested in discussing options or alleviating my pain? Do you even care? She is a waste of time. I will be… requesting my medical records and going to a doctor who actually cares about their patients, not just getting money from the insurance companies.

My OBGYN referred me to Dr. Matthews to fix damage caused at the birth of my son. I had a 4th degree tear and was left in really bad shape. Dr Matthews was incredibly understanding and compassionate, explained to me my problem with detail along with the options I had, and did a superb job in my surgery. I am forever thankful to her!

Outstanding doctor!!

I am a very unhappy person with Dr. Catherine Matthews' office as of today. I went to her office today at 1:15, but she had moved and I went to her office across the street where she had moved to. I checked in at approximately 1:40 for a 2:00 appointment with a lady in a blue dress. Gave her my name and spelled it. I waited in that office until 4:45 p.m as I saw they were getting ready to close. I also saw the dr. leave and wondered what was going on. I should have spoke but I thought they would have sense enough to call me sometimes. They started closing the office and saw me and I said what happened to my 2:00 apt and they said they put me down as a "no show." This was too stupid for me and I left they office and did not look back. I have never in my life experienced such an office visit as I waited and waited to no response.
