Dr. Catherine Riel Beratio, MD

I would give this no stars if I could. I came into the office for yearly follow up. I have only seen her now twice the whole time she has been my pcp. I have the start of sinusitis with a history of it twice a year. She just started naming off antibiotics she would give me for it. The first 2 I have a drug allergy to. She then says I will look at your chart. Then proceeds to tell me she is gonna give me an antibiotic that is in the same family listed as a drug allergy. I have had bad palpitations to that drug class. She proceeded to tell me that’s not an allergy but an intolerance. She absolutely refuses to give me an antibiotic I can take without any issues. She should listen to her patients when they are advocating for themselves. I will not be trusting her with my care anymore. Please find another Dr that will take the time to listen and truly care.

I told Dr.Beration I was having problems with my right ankle right knee right hip she pushed on them a little then yelled at me and said it didn't make medical sense and ran out of the exam room like a child throwing a temper tantrum I than went to a couple of real Doctors who performed actual medical tests MRI and X-rays and found I had a tear in my right knee and my bones were bone on bone I had surgery to fix the knee my ankle had missing cartilage bone spurs and ligaments stretched out of place I just had ankle surgery the Doctor said he didn't know how I was able to walk and that I will need a total ankle replacement my hip doctor told me it's just a matter of time before I will need another hip replacement on my right side Dr Beratio didn't know anything about my extensive medical history she didn't ask me any questions about my health history I have a inherited genetic disorder that my other specialist tell me is what's causing these problems I just had my 9th surgery Dr.… Beratio is incompetent and possibly the worst Doctor I've ever had and Diane Eskine is a rude little smart mouth when Dr. Link was in this office he was a good Doctor with a good staff when Beratio took over it became the worst most incompetent rude place to possibly go to.

I have have found that Dr Beratio to be an excellent physician. I would recommend her to any person who wants a knowledgeable and very caring doctor.

Can not recommend her. She does not listen well at all. Please find a different doctor to go to.

Met with Dr. Beratio for the first time. She was very pleasant and professional.

Was in the market for a new Dr. When I went to Dr. Beratio, I was feeling fine and not wanting anything changed, just needed to have blood tests done and some refills. I have them every 4 months to make sure my thyroid and other levels are the same. Before she even got the results back, she decided to change my medications and even refused to give me one of them. The meds. I take, your not suppose to just stop taking. Needless to say, I was in pretty bad shape in a very short period of time. The medicine she refused me was my HRT patch, this was not making things any better. I was angry all the time, had road rage, very sweaty, not able to sleep, and my husband was getting on my nerves, a lot. This had never happened before, we have a very good marriage. I was told via e-mail, that she would not give HRTS to anyone over the age of 50. I didn't start my change till I was 52 and didn't need help til age 55. I know there are risks to using HRTS, but, she could not or would… not offer alternatives and/or help. Just a warning, don't go to her if your medication is working for you cause she will mess you all up and not help you with the side affects that comes with it.
