Dr. Catherine Christine Pitt, MD

Dr. Pitt was amazing. She took time to get a thorough understanding of the issues and clearly provided options. She was proactive in outlining potential problems and alternatives. She developed good rapport and I felt safe and understood and cared about. I couldn't imagine a better doctor. She didn't rush the interview. She paid close attention to me and used the computer as an aide to the discussion only. The care was way more in depth than civilian doctors with their 10 minute money making, box checking, agenda-driven, insurance driven care. Thank God for the VA. It is the BEST benefit of serving in the military. The care is amazing compared to community care. Especially the specialty services like GYN, GI, pharm care. I pray the VA can be protected and saved so I can go to physicians like Dr. Pitt.

I had just found out I was pregnant and confirmed with her. I was only about 3wks along. I was still at the age where I was under my parents insurance and didn’t realize it wouldn’t cover maternity. They told me my next visit would be $300 up front. I said I needed to change my insurance over to my own and would reschedule once I got back from training (I was in the military). When I came back just a couple weeks later (still under 8 wks pregnant) I was told I was discharged by Dr Pitt because she viewed me as negligent. 6 years later I tried making an appointment at a completely different office but was told I couldn’t until she removed the status from my file. It took me 2 weeks to get her to respond to my voicemails and was finally told no. She would not remove it. No explanation just no. I believe there are many woman’s care facilities with caring doctors but Dr. Pitt is not one of them and would recommend visiting a different office. She is smart and knows what she is doing but is… very childish/nonprofessional when it comes to social interaction.

Dr. Pitt delivered both of my children and i just love her , love the way she took care of me , they had to perform C-section with my first baby , she is sweet , caring , very patient. If I could give her 10 stars , I would.

My whole expirience with her office was terrible. Rescheduling apts that has been previously planned... when I expressed this concern to her she didn’t care at all... my whole birthing expirience was a painful mess. She could have been helpful, understanding and compassionate an she wasn’t. I suffered some serious injuries that I am still dealing with two years later and she blew my concerns off and told me they’d never get better. While her harsh advice was not only hurtful it wasn’t necessary. I highly reccomend taking the time to find another doctor.

Me and both my daughters love Dr Pitt , she has delivered 4 of my grandchildren , and has taken care of us for a number of years , I just found out she has left the practice and I am at a loss , I fully trusted her and the excellent care we have all received , I wish her all the best of luck with her future , if I could move to where is at I will .

I have been going to Dr. Pitt for 17+ years and my daughter does as well. We love her bedside manner and she is fantastic at what she does. We just learned she left the Brandon office and are hoping to find her at a new location?!

I have been a patient of Dr.Pitt for over a decade but in the last 2-3 years her bedside manner and overall quality has diminished. I came to her multiple times over the course of 1.5years with side effects related to LARC birth control and she continually dismissed me until I finally said I would remove it myself if she refused. Also forcing patients to come in months early for unnecessary pelvic exams in order to obtain birth control pills even if paps are current and negative. Frustrating

I have been a patient at women's care for several years now and today was my first time being seen by Dr. Pitt. She was extremely rude and made my entire visit uncomfortable. She talked down to me and would not answer the questions that I had to ask. I do not recommend her at all.

I had the feeling that she found my diabetes offensive and that she didn't like my age. She did mention that I couldn't help my age.
