Dr. Catherine W Thompson, MD

Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1982 with both a Medical Degree and a Master of Science degree in Medical anthropology. During her training she worked in a Cambodian refugee camp in Thailand and did a year of research in the laboratory of Baruch Blumberg, the 1976 Nobel laureate in medicine. Dr. Thompson completed her pediatric residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition to regular continuing medical education courses her expertise in pediatrics has been enhanced by raising three children who are now in college and high school. She enjoys guiding and learning from parents and children as they pass through the same developmental stages. Her other interests include activities with her family such as biking, hiking and kayaking, as well as singing, dancing, reading and cooking. She does volunteer medical care for Friends of Seasonal and Service …Workers.
