Dr. Catherine Diane Torres, MD

Dr. Torres double dosed my daughter with the same vaccine when she was an infant, and she has autism and developmental disability; I believe as a result of this. Why I didn't change doctors at the time of that mistake, I don't know. Then when my daughter was 2, she had severe constipation, but I didn't know that's what it was. Neither did Dr. Torres. My daughter was hospitalized. Dr. Torres requested a spinal tap on my baby, along with numerous other invasive medical procedures. She is either negligent or wicked, I don't know which it is. She was rude to me and my mother in the hospital at that time: my mother who was slowly dying of cancer. She accused my daughter's pain from constipation on "environmental reasons" having to do with me and my mother (she never did diagnose it properly and sent me to a psych with my baby for an evaluation on her, after discharging us from the hospital with no diagnosis...the psych said my daughter was fine). To this day I'm trying to forgive her. I'm… not the suing type, but sometimes I think I should have sued her. Terrible, terrible doctor. I hope she remembers what she did and I hope we are the only ones who suffered from her negligence, but I doubt it.

I am sad to see Dr. Torres leave from 1st Step Center, as my son has seen her since he was born (2 years old now). I will try hard to find Dr. Torres in order for my son to continue with his Peadiatrician:)
