Dr. Catherine Ann Weymann, MD

I was pleased with my visit with Dr. Weymann. She was attentive, very detailed, engaged with me and asked many questions, ran tests, scheduled an MRI and blood work, and was quite personable. I found her skill and expertise to be quite high. Dr. Weymann spent a considerable amount of time with me and made sure she answered all my questions. I couldn't ask for more in a doctor.

She listens and addresses your issues. Doesn't just throw medications at you. Runs test as needed. Talks and explains in terms you understand. Wonderful Dr. Great bedside manner with the knowledge to address issues.

She doesn't waste words - to the point which I like. She tells it like it is, not what you "want" to hear. Patient for many years!

I gave information to the Doctor as I have suffered with migraines since the age of 16. I have kept a migraine log as requested. I do meditation, tried yoga, keep records of what I eat and how it correlates to "my" migraine onset. I had a neurologist in Hickory, NC that knew how to take care of my migraines, and knowing my history realized that they were not going to be cured just managed. When I had a migraine that lasted over 3 days he did not let me suffer and made sure I did not leave his office without being sent to the hospital or the infusion center to break the migraine. I am not going to say anything bad about Dr. Weymann. I am sure she thought she was doing her best. I gave her all the information I could, and I had only seen her 1 time the 2 time she said you need to been seen at a headache center. I believe she made a decision based on her feeling, because I really did not get to talk all that much. I would recommend her over some of the other neurologists in Hickory, NC.… If she recommends the herb Butterbur please know this: Butterbur is in the ragweed plant family, so people who are allergic to ragweed, marigold, daisy, or chrysanthemum should avoid butterbur. Butterbur contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids which may be liver-toxic and carcinogenic. It is possible to remove these compounds from butterbur products. In Germany, the maximum allowable content of pyrrolizidine alkaloids in butterbur supplements has been set at 1 microgram per daily recommended dose. Look for butterbur that does not have the pyrrolizidine alkaloids that cause liver damage. Do your research and be your own advocate when it comes to health care. No one cares more about you than you!
