Stay away. And if you don't, make sure you have at least three hours set aside for an appointment, even if you only talk to her for ten minutes. After almost ten years of going to her today was the final straw after I waited close to two hours to see her, and was then told I would have to continue waiting or reschedule. She also "went ahead" and removed my appendix during a surgery involving my ovary giving me a deep, very noticeable scar that I did not need. While she is kind, she and the staff show very little respect for patients.

Dr. Avery is a god send! She’s amazing and spends time with her patients. I saw Her as my gyn and then when I became Pregnant I saw Her as my ob! She’s practical, easy to talk to, and professional. I’m so sad because halfway thru my pregnancy we moved to NJ and I wont Be able to continue seeing Dr. Avery! I HIGHLY recommend her!

If I could give a Negative star rating, I WOULD! Putting my trust in Dr Avery was the Biggest Mistake of my life!! At 41wks pregnant with my 3rd child, my regular ob sent me to labor & delivery to start an induction. Dr Avery was the doc on call at the time. I had never met her up until this point. My husband and I spent hrs in triage waiting to start the induction. Dr Avery spent the time talking down to us and flat out refusing to induce me. My baby and I were in no immediate danger at the time, but Dr Avery kept demanding that I have a c-section. I made it very clear that a c-section was not an option for me. I’d already had two successful vaginally deliveries, so there was no reason to push for a c-section. I don’t know what Dr Avery’s motives were behind pushing so hard for such a major surgery. Perhaps she was just too lazy to wait for me to labor and deliver on my own? I BEGGED, CRIED, & PLEADED to no end to not have the procedure, but it all fell on deaf ears. After hours… and hours going round and round with Dr Avery, I felt like I had no other choice. The c-section was The MOST Tramatic experience of my life. I screamed and cried going into, during, and after the entire procedure. Dr Avery could’ve cared less. She treated me like cattle. After she sewed me up I NEVER once saw her again. The procedure and the way I was treated has left me with PTSD. I have night terrors where I wake up screaming in my sleep. The 6 1/2 inch incision has left me feeling mutilated and disfigured. Again, putting my trust in Dr Benjamin-Avery was THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

I am very particular about doctors and their bed side manner. Finding a good doctor you like and can trust is like finding a good pair of comfortable shoes, almost impossible. However, on the first visit I knew she would be great. She spends quality time with her patients and will call you to follow up about lab results. This was a first for me, to have a doctor call to tell me everything is ok. She has a great personality and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Avery-Benjamin to any woman without reservation

I love Dr. Avery she's very patient, friendly and professional at all times ill recommend Dr Avery to any and everybody. She's Excellent!!!
