Dr. Cecilia Velarde Harrington, MD

My review would be a zero, but the lowest rating available is one star. Please note that this review is in reference to an experience with Dr. Harrington’s office staff and policy. Following an unexpected surgery and cancer diagnosis, my Mom was referred to Dr. harrington as her GP, close to our home. They scheduled her for an appointment 9 days after her surgery. The morning of the appointment she was informed that we were mistakenly at the wrong clinic, but Dr. Harringtons office is just minutes away. At 10:45 ( the scheduled appointment time) we were in-route and gps stated 3 minutes to arrival. As a courtesy, my mom called to notify them of the situation and that she was 3 minutes away. When she arrived (catheter and all) within 5 minutes of scheduled appointment, she was turned away and rudely told that they had canceled her appointment when she’d called and they were not accepting new clients anyway. They refused to see her and they refused to reschedule. I am shocked and… disgusted by the disrespectful way my Mom was treated and their complete lack of care for her well-being and medical care. The directory needs to be updated, at the time of writing this review it states that Dr. Harrington is indeed accepting new patients. No Aloha at this office.
