Dr. Chad Donald Mccormick, MD

Me and my husband saw Dr. McCormick today regarding my recent hearing test and questions I had about my ear and possibly getting a cochlear ear implant in the near future. I told him I was with half my hearing aid today (the other half being repaired) and that my hearing from the last test showed very severe loss. I asked him questions which he had to repeat many times and it seemed to irritate him. As I kept asking him to repeat his answers, he, at one time he said, "As I said and I'll say it again..." We thought he was pretty rude to address me like that and also in the way he said it, as you could tell he was irritated. All I will say is that he really needs to have more patience and be more sympathetic to" hard-of-hearing patients," especially since he knew I had a severe hearing loss. My husband agreed. Other than that, the visit went okay.

I read some of the other reviews and I agree that he is not very personable. He doesn't seem to be a good listener, comes across as cold and distant. If I needed surgery I probably would see some one else. One review from the past said they thought he was spoiled. I think his Nurse tries to make up for his failings, she was very kind.

Very successful emergency treatment of impacted ear due to a swimmer's wax ear plug. All aspects of visit positive!

Front office lost file and then neglected to cancel appointment as requested 48 hours ahead of time. Doctor dictated in chart that I no-showed and did not pay for services which is, first of all untrue and secondly, not a part of the medical reason for being seen and extremely unprofessional. He was rude and sarcastic during the last appointment because of the "no-show" which was the fault of his front office. He acted like a snot-nosed child.

I went to see Dr. McCormick for chronic sinusitus. He only looked up my nose with his naked eye and wanted to sell me a sinus scan for $600 "to get started". I already paid $300 for this "consultation". I asked him questions and he became irritated and ended the "consultation" abruptly. Then he gave an rx for expensive antibiotics which my insurance wouldn't pay for and I was allergic to anyway. The pharmacist caught the prescription. To his credit, he did call the pharmacy back and prescribed a lower priced antibiotic.Way too expensive for services rendered.

Office staff lost patient file and were extremely unfriendly. I cancelled an appointment and front desk told doctor I never cancelled. Doctor took it upon himself to reprimanded me for not cancelling prior appointment. He became very snobbish and unfriendly.
