Dr. Chad Hartman Meshberger, DO

Saw him about my Parkinson’s. He was able to ACTUALLY HELP me instead of condescending to me!

I was very reluctant to see yet another neurologist. I had seen several from WJM neurology. None of them were able to help me. I also saw a terrible neurologist in Carmel that came highly recommended as a specialist in my exact condition, however he prescribed an IV medication and then his office staff refused to set up my treatment and wouldn’t even return my calls to the office manager. Dr Meshburger walked in the room, shook my hand and said “I can help today. Within a month, you will be functioning again.” He prescribed an injectable medication that has provide me with 90% relief from my daily and debilitating symptoms. In my humble opinion, he is a Godsend.

First. On time and kind intro with his nurse. He came in shortly following with personality that set me at ease for rest of our 45 min!! Visit. His online video is exactly who he is. Never rushed and made sure all questions were answered. He had reviewed all my charts before the visit and was ready to go with a plan before our conclusion. I was very nervous about my diagnosis but left with detailed options and various plans for my future. I left reassured he cared.

I seen this guy ONE time, for TEN MINUTES. he lied to my face over and over. this guy literally told me, that there is no part of your brain that regulates your breathing, if my brain is injured it doesn't matter, no u vant have a scan i had a goose egg on my head, memory problems, personality changes, and the guy refused test and diagnosed me as a hypochondriac! hands down the worst dr i have ever seen

I was told that my gender identity as a transgender man was possibly due to an existing mental illness. He 'strongly suggested' that I undergo a 'five hour test that is essentially an IQ test' (and did not properly name this test) to 'be sure that this (meaning transitioning) is what i really want', and that I should not pursue hormones or 'drastic surgeries' before I have this test done. I have not yet legally changed my name, but he attempted to correct me on the pronunciation of my birth name with a rather rude and condescending attitude. I did not see Dr. Meshberger for anything even remotely related to my gender, or my gender expression. I should note that I have been on hormone replacement therapy for the past three years and work closely with an endocrinologist, therapist, and psychologist, which he was informed of. To say the least, I am very upset and deeply offended with his treatment of me. I will not be returning.

I've had migraines for nearly 20 years multiple times a week, sometimes every day. I was hesitant to see yet another neurologist especially while pregnant, but on my first visit he had already done more than anyone else and we might already have some answers. Not only is he awesome, intelligent, knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate about his patients, his medical assistant Alyssa is also awesome and has gone out of her way multiple times for me and has never failed to keep in contact regarding issues and questions.

Fantastic doctor! Very knowledgeable but ever more compassionate. I'd been ill for 15 years with no answers, at my first appointment with him he said he'd research and see. He knew the cause of my symptoms by my next appointment. He did this all on his time, I know because he called me on a Saturday to ask a follow up question. And, he did this without any extra pay. He did this because he cared. That is amazing to find these days.
