Dr. Chandra Venugopal, MD

I am stunned by the less than stellar reviews. I saw Dr. Venugopal at the Palomino office and received awesome service from my first call, visit, Michael (PA) and Dr. Venugopal, (who both took time for a full history and exam) to scheduling follow-ups. When in the waiting room I experienced patients coming in, being greeted and then called by name, respectfully asked for co-pays and being seen in less than 15 minutes. If this was not your experience, I suggest you try this office!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chandra Venagopal for several years. I really liked him. He took his time, but on Friday, Nov. 9,2018 I called the office to set an appointment. First, the phone kept ringing no answer. Second, I called back, after many rings, one of their secretaries answered. After giving her my info. She gave me an appointment time, which I was unable to go during that time. She told me to hold on so she could look up his schedule. After waiting for 10 minutes, I hung up. When ever I arrived in this office it was crowded. It reminded me of a factory. Patients come and go. It’s time to look for a new doctor.??

Dr. Venugopal was excellent, but you cannot reach the office to make an appointment. They don’t answer, don’t return phone calls and have no respect for patients. I had to go to another cardiologist because I was unable to reach Dr. Venugopal. This office needs a complete makeover as to taking care of patients. I would never recommend this office to anyone. Again, Dr. Venugopal was terrific if you could get to see him.

My review is of the Practice itself, not the Doctor. On my 1st visit, the waiting room was a mob scene. I felt like I was at a free clinic. Nothing was accomplished. Tests were administered that had already been administered by my primary physician. I was scheduled again for an echo/stress test. After completion, the many little connections pads were left on me, I had to peel them off myself. I was told I had to return for results, and another co-payment and they would not advise my primary physician instead. Now on my 3rd visit to get the results, I was advised that I need ANOTHER referral from my primary physican just to get the results. I called Human and they informed me that I absolutely did NOT need another referral to get the results. I had to re-schedule and they did not have another appointment available for another 2 weeks! I called them after speaking with Humana. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and they gave me an argument that Humana was wrong. The Doctor may… be very good, I don't know. But I strongly recommend that if you need a cardiolist, FIND ANOTHER PRACTICE!

I find Dr. Chandra Venugopal very knowable but his staff in Wellington, FL is a piece of crap! I & my online -medicine provider had tried to communicate the medications that he prescribes . I have had 5 calls with my online insurance carrier and it still is not rectified. I am so afraid I will have another stoke since I am so very angry with his office.
