Dr. Ahn is very attentive of patients' needs. He puts rushes on needed tests and referrals and calls personally to inform me of the results. I could not ask for a better doctor.

I've been a patient of doc Ahn's for about 4 years. He has treated me from minor issues to problems with mental health and pain management after major surgeries

I went to this 'doctor' a few years ago. I had TWO issues. Insomnia and a very painful back. He sent me for a Dexascan for the back-virtually had to beg for medication for sleeping. After my Dexascan, I viewed the film with the TECH...which showed a badly curved lower spine, ie, scoliosis, most likely due to aging. I received NO calls, no notifications, no NOTHING from this doc as far as this etiology for the aching back was concerned. This ID did NOTHING. Except collect his fee. During a subsequent visit, I, still being the tired lady who doesn't often send badly prepared food back in restaurants, asked him why he hadn't told me about the scoliosis. Surely, he hadn' t thought that I'd seen the film and diagnosed it already. (I'm an RN.) It'd have been funny, but since it was a medical thing, well, it wasn't. The guy just looked like he'd gotten caught robbing a bank. He just stuttered a bit and lied about what the condition was, and that it 'wasn't important' enough to… tell me. Cripes. It IS. Pinched nerves, avoiding certain exercises. Quack was just on the tip of my tongue. These SMA docs are cookie cutter losers. If they can make money with referrals and tests, they do. Today when trying to call another SMA doc's office, I kept getting cut off after 2 rings. Whan a SMA 'customer service' person was asked why, she stated that that's 'just what happens' when the switchboard gets 'too busy.' Well, nothing like having switchboard operators match the physicianry at SMA as far as efficiency and effectiveness. STAY AWAY FROM SMA. Throw a few bucks toward a real physician

My mother, who is 88, has serious COPD and does not hear well. Dr. Ahn always makes certain she understands the information and instructions regarding her health, and is never too rushed to answer any questions she might have. He has even called her at home, just to check that things are okay. He was also instrumental in getting her a small portable oxygen tank that allows her the freedom to go out with her friends, or just to the grocery store. I hope Dr. Ahn stays here. We need a lot more doctors like him.
