Dr. Chang Lim is reassuring with his direct eye contact, pleasant demeanor, and efficient discussion. I learned that he likes fly fishing, but more importantly I felt that he genuinely was concerned about my gradient heart murmur and that he wanted to know precisely what was causing it. He insisted on an immediate Echogram, read it within hours of its completion, and called me with specific feedback. I am comfortable with the level of quality service. I was terrible disappointed, however, with the fact that it took two days for his staff to get the recommended prescriptions called in to the pharmacy. I had to call his twice before the meds were ordered and the person on the telephone was rude and snippy. I can put up with a rude staff, however, to get to a highly competent physician.

I'm new to Asheville and I've had no cardiac history. I thought I might be having a non-emergency event that did not require an ER visit. I called on Friday and was supposed to go out of town on Monday. I was given an appointment for 1st thing Monday and was seen within 10 minutes of arrival. Dr. Lim was friendly, listened to us (my wife was there) and was caring for our needs. Dr. Lim wanted a stress test and echo and I asked if it could be done that day. He made the call and I was taken in about an hour. All tests turned out well and I was on the road by 1:30 I can not imagine receiving any better attention than I had received that day!
