Dr. Chanu Rhee, MD

My husband was brought in for Dr. Rhee's care when three other doctors had failed to either properly diagnose or treat his chronic ailments. My husband, at that point, was not expected to live very much longer due to organ failure, and I was trying to become mentally prepared. Dr. Rhee reviewed my husband's medical history and calmly ran a bevy of tests. But he also asked us questions I had not been asked before, showing such meticulousness and such understanding of the situation. It's like he had experienced it before, which was surprising for such a young doctor. Ultimately, Dr. Rhee was able to isolate evidence to support his theory that more than two different factors were creating the symptoms and steady health degradation we were witnessing. My husband is not the same, but he is alive! And a special note as to this doctor's personality: as I showered him with gratitude and praise, he said it was simply the exploration and solid history that the other doctors (who had… failed us) had built that helped him do this. A practicing doctor shadowing this later informed me that solving cases like these is not abnormal for Dr. Rhee, but he believes every doctor must and is doing their best. I've never seen a truer credit to the medical industry. Thank you, Dr. Rhee - I know you will change many people's lives.
