Dr. Chara Joan Solich, MD

I was hospitalized twice. Doctor Solich came into my hospital room, visited me, and consulted with the other doctors at St Luke's. I have been seeing Doctor Solich for over s year. She saved my life from Lupus! She is compassionate and a very good doctor. She is very thorough and concerned. And doesn't hesitate to let you know what is what with medicine , your behaviors, and care. She cares about your well being. And everything about you. I just wish she was a little more alternative and holistic. But. That is fine. She is very studied in medicine. She has a sense of humor. I like her!!

If you like to be sick, coddled, or your of the whiny nature you probably should find somebody else. However if you want to be seen by a very smart doctor that follows up and is responsive to your needs you should pick Dr. Solich. For the people that posted reviews about being asked to do things you don't like. Dr's are not magicians. The patient has to do their part to; if the doctor suggests something or asks you to do something you should do it the best you can.

I cant even begin to explain the issues I have had with this lady!!! I feel like she doesn't listen when I'm describing my concerns to her. Her response is always, "You will need to talk to to your family dr." Then, "Do you have any more questions?' She will always mention different types of medication, with out explaining what it really is, then ask, "So what one do you want to try?" Then there's her nurse. I was having a flare on a visit. She proceeded to tell me what a "real" flare felt like. How dare her!! Anyway, if your looking for great care, do not come to this office!!!

Pleasant, very calm, good "bedside manner" and listens well. Very open to questions I have and suggestions of things I want to try (such as different meds).

If it weren't so sad, I would be laughing. She asks why I wasn't exercising. If she had even a clue about an ordinary person with my condition, she would know that every movement is painful, someone who is run ragged by so many doctor appts., can't sleep because of pain, stressed to the gills in trying to contort and bend one's way through doctors' hoops and requirements.and yet, I, the patient, is at fault for not accommodating her. A good doctor would not have these deficiencies or prejudices. I can't even say she is mediocre at best.
