I didn't really like how she kept talking about healing with your faith and finding your purpose guided by a higher power. I was really not impressed with her attitude and religious ideas

Knowledgeable, spent enough time to address my issues, caring.

I recently moved from Hawaii to Oregon. All I needed was a simple transfer of medications. She starts asking all these questions, nothing new, one of them was "Do you sometimes have impulsive tendencies?" I answered yes to this. Who DOESN'T act on impulse once in a while? Unfortunately for me, she decided to base her entire diagnosis on that question and claimed I was bipolar (I'm not. I have depression & anxiety). Then she said that one of my medications was too high and she wouldn't prescribe it, but would gladly give me Depakote or Lithium instead-both are hardcore bipolar medications! When I said no, she said she wouldn't take me as a patient. One of the medications I take has bad withdrawal symptoms. I haven't found a psych. who my insurance accepts & is taking new patients, so I'm now out of my meds and have had to deal with an excruciating withdrawal-as in not being able to eat anything...FOR A WEEK! This doctor was completely erroneous in her diagnosis and lacking in… compassion for what she KNEW was going to happen to me when my meds ran out. Just awful!
