Dr. Charles Joseph Bacall, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Charles Bacall for almost 37 years! He delivered both of my daughters, neither of which was easy. Despite moving from the NYC area to DC 14 years ago, I have continued to travel back for my yearly gynecological exams. Why? Because Dr. Bacall is one of the most capable, competent and caring doctors I have ever encountered. He's an excellent diagnostician, takes a holistic approach to his patient's health and well-being, and takes the time to patiently explain everything. He has my highest recommendation.

Dr. Bacall is the best as he delivered my son 21 years ago. If I didn't move to New Jersey shore he would still be my doctor. I seen the difference in doctors when my second son was delivered as the doctor basically let the heads nurse deliver my son as he had a coffee break literally. Whenever I do have a problem I trek all the way to the city as I trust him so much. He is so caring and the office is so nice and organized that going to a doctor seems like going to the park. The doctor is a Castle Connolly doctor for all these years and do we wonder why. Its called excellence and Dr. Bacall has that in spades. New Yorkers you should feel lucky to have such a doctor.

He was very understanding and supportive-- I was a little nervous about seeing a male Dr because I've always seen women but there was NO reason to feel uncomfortable. Plus he really listened to what I said and what I wanted to do- I didn't have health insurance so he was more than wiling to do the bare minimum- and was very kind and gracious to me when I exaplained my slightly darker life in the past he was not judgemental at all but still expressed just enough warnings where it was more good advice than getting ordered around... I never have really dealt with ppl in authority very well. I find that the best I feel at the Drs is when I'm treated with mutual respect and its more like talking to a friend than a doctor

dr bacall is a very special doctor. even though he is very busy when he is with me he makes me feel like im the only patient he has. he is a caring and sweet man.

Dr. Bacall delivered my first baby. It was a difficult delivery with some complications. I went to a different doctor and hospital on LI for my second child, and despite several phone calls to his staff they would not send my medical records to my new doctor. I called Dr.Bacall directly and he sent my records but the copies were so poor they were illegible. That compromised my medical care with my second delivery.

He is an exceptional doctor, good blend of technical expertice, exceptional bedside manner and does a great job of explaining course of options available.

Dr. Becall is amazing. He is so nice and caring. He is very thorough and spends a lot of time with you. He is very knowledgeable and rational. He walks you through everything as he is doing it. He takes your concerns seriously and discusses a course of action with you. His practice is great and the office staff is competent and nice. I would definitely recommend Dr. Becall.
